Very much enjoyed this story. The backstory, how they got together and they went through. And I do like shifter books read by men. Very enjoyable

A novella

The characters are well fleshed out in this novella, which was a delightful surprise considering how short the story is. It has some explicit "spice" to it, so is definitely NSFW but oh so fun. It was a good story. If you are into novellas and spicy, shifter romances, this might be just what you are looking for.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes.
Its a sweet shifter story. Instant connection and lovers of protective males will love the book.

I liked that it referenced Rick being different than most other bears (Brown vs. Black bears) and the differnce in hierarchy.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Its a nice sweet novella.

I would have liked it if the H/H met under different circumstances, and not the usual plot of the heroine running from an ex and the hero rescuing her.

But overall a nice book to pass the time with.

What does David Quimby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

David adds depth to both Sophie and Rick.

Mine, mine, mine.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that it came full circle and the characters had a happily ever after.

Have you listened to any of David Quimby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not, and I wasn't sure if he was the right narrator for this book initially but then I listened for a few minutes and was drawn in to the many facets of his voice. He brought the story to life in an interesting and entertaining way.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love brings out the beast in all of us.

Best in Paranormal

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This is the first book I have listened to of Marlie Monroe. She did a great job of capturing the reader and keeping the hooked. The story between Rick and Sophie is so life like, for a paranormal. The thrill, suspense and romance kept me hooked until the end. Marlie does a great job of telling this type of story. She is thorough in her story plot and her character builds. The narrator did a great job of distinguishing each of the characters. Really enjoyed this book.
