Really enjoyed listening to this book, Jack Calihan is perfect for this story with his voice tone! Definitely going to listen to more from Delta James!

Hot!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I enjoyed this story, Cade is an alpha dominant bear shifter and Haley is an independent women. Cade saved Haley's life once and ten years later he does again but this time he is not letting her go! Narrator Jack Calihan does a wonderful job with the story and characters!

kept rolling my eyes, like really? Jack Calihan's voice is like being wrapped in deep velvet, but even his deep sexy voice can't elevate the dialog and story line.

Hailey and Cade

This was a fantastic listen. Jack Calihan is amazing at creating various distinctive characters and his performance will pull you into this audiobook and hold your attention right to the end. Hailey is not a wallflower and her independent spirit gets her into situations. But Cade, or the spirit of the bear, will be there to save her. Really explosive chemistry between these fated mates. Fun to see how they, Hailey, Kay and Charlie, bring Cade into the current century.

I was either gifted or requested an audiobook copy and this is my honest review.

Another great standalone by Delta James

Delta James is amazing! I really enjoyed this storyline. It’s hot and intense. Cade is an old fashion man that worships from afar Hailey. Until danger knocks at her door. What can a say about Jack Calihan he’s phenomenal.

Great performance by Jack!

Jack Calihan gives another fantastic performance as Cade. The story was good, a bit predicable but I enjoy these types of books and listening to them narrated by such a great narrator make them even better. It lacked a bit in plot, but the scenes were great and super hot. I liked the supporting characters a lot as well. Overall, a very good listen! Definitely recommend it.

sexy bear shifter

Bear is an alpha male to the core. Cade is a Hot, sexy, dominant, bear shifter. He has a connection with Haley. He needs to protect her from devious Land developers. Whenever Jack Calihan narrates a story, I know I will be in for a great listen. His deep sexy, growly voice is perfect for Cade.

Cade became Bear over two hundred years ago to avenge his wife, coming out of hibernation to save Halley from being raped in the forest. Since that time he's quietly watched out for her but kept his distance.

Dr. Halley Jordan is now a wildlife biologist and determined to keep developers out of the forest. When they attack her Cade steps in again, saving her and thus begins his total take over of her life. While the developers henchman are determined to take her out of the equation, Cade is determined to keep her safe while making her obey him in every way, as well as cleaning up her bad language.

Like previous books in the Dark Shifter series this book is all about total male dominance, and spanking discipline, unlike the previous books I reviewed I honestly felt their connection. This book will definitely appeal to those that enjoy strict discipline, spankings and little girl kink, there is also figging and time spent in the corner for Haley's misbehavior. If you can't enjoy a story where the heroine concedes to a dominant male whether she likes it or not, this isn't the book for you.

I liked the connection between these two characters but wished the strong, smart Halley hadn't gotten whiney at times and didn't have the obligatory stupid moment that almost cost her her life. I did like that she helped save herself. So I have mixed feelings about this book. Thank you to Jack Calihan for allowing me to review, I love listening to his work.

Loved it!!

I loved it!! The story, characters and narrator! I loved the story of Cade and Haley. Cade is super Uber Alpha and Haley is a girl from the 21st century trying to reason with a man who won’t be reasoned with. Cade and Haley have a love that transcends time and it is pure. I loved this storyline. Jack Calihan the narrator definitely brings something to the table and leads a lot to the story. His voice is pure sin!! Love him!! Yummy! Highly recommend the audio for this book!!
