Publisher's summary

What if any person who desired to become an awesome boss could be? What if there was a model that every leader could apply to help them be successful? What if there were no more bad bosses in this world? Designed as a leadership fable, this audiobook will help any leader in any situation to be an awesome boss!

For Marty, the promotion to CEO was an exciting step in his already very successful young career. However, there was one problem that dampened his enthusiasm. He was about to replace a Wiser Care, Inc. legend. Daniel Rosier had run the most successful healthcare facility in the company for two decades. After many years of service and unprecedented success, Dan was finally retiring, and Marty had been chosen as his replacement.

“I’d like to teach you something very important that I know will help you be successful in your new role,” Dan said to Marty with a slight smile. “In fact, I’m so confident that if you follow what I am about to tell you, I will guarantee your success as a big boss. I didn’t always live by what I am about to share with you, but since I began to do my best at following this model, my career and life as a boss has never been the same.”

Marty was eager to hear more. He knew this was his chance to learn from one of the best at Wiser Care. If his career could turn out anything like Dan’s, he’d be thrilled.

A practical guide to great culture!

I worked with Tim for a few years and I he is definitely one that practices what he preaches. As a CEO, Tim led his operation to greatness for many years and won several awards from The Ensign Group Inc. His passion for a positive culture is contagious and the results he has achieved as a leader speak for themselves. Be an Awesome Boss is a reflection of great practices illustrated in a story that is easy to follow.

Engaging, Easy Listen

I just finished listening to this book today and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was.

It's a shorter, easy listen with solid ideas and principles to teach. The format of the book as a story of a new CEO being mentored by the former CEO is an engaging way to teach its principles. It has lots of great examples / vignettes to learn from. The book made me reflect on past personal experiences as well as myself and where I would stand in the 4 C's model of leadership success.

I'd recommend this for anyone wanting to be a better manager / people leader in things that really matter.
