Story
Seriously, my name is Bernice. But then came that one month when I pretended to be somebody else entirely while working at a roadhouse biker bar. Who knew one month pretending to be an interesting bad girl could ruin a boring good girl's life? When I saw her, I knew she'd be mine. My old biker crew told me she was untouchable—that I'd never be able to land her without my fame and last name. So I did what any rock star with a big, ahem, ego would under the circumstances—wagered five figures on me seducing the untouchable girl behind the bar.

I was supposed to be in charge. That was always my intention. Until that slick corporate raider, Ethan Bradford, clicked his fancy pen and poof! Just like that, I was under him, instead of on top. Rich and powerful men - especially arrogant, handsome ones - are all the same. I know exactly how to handle him, but when my father pulls rank and orders me to play nice, my plans of putting him in his place vanish. I know his type. I've been around men like him my entire life, but one chance meeting with him and his son, makes me question everything I thought I knew.

I wasn't ready for Jacob Clark. He was sin and dark edges, wrapped in regret. He was my Kryptonite. His words oozed over me like warm honey. His dark eyes pricked my soul, and his touch.... Those fingers set my skin on fire. Of course, he was too good to be true. And before I could wipe the icing off my greedy lips, I was walking away. So, why was he invading my dreams?

I was raised to be a ruler of two worlds. One with a pen. One with a knife. Be the king of the concrete jungle at all costs. I should've simply taken a queen, not courted one. For Assistant Professor of Sociology Dr. Deja Evans, it sucks. Hard. Every day. Between the class prep, the meetings, grading student work, trying to find time to complete her own research and the meetings, she didn't have a life, she had a digital calendar that decided whether she got to wallow in her feelings at three p.m. or seven p.m., on Thursday or maybe Sunday. And the worst meeting of them all was the two-and-a-half-hour, once-a-month Faculty Senate, which was drier than her dating life, duller than her skin in winter, and far longer than her attention span.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Heartfelt
C.A. Miconi pens another captivating and heartfelt story in her “Finding Love in Green Springs” series. It is a wonderful opposites attract small town romance. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Sally lives in the city, owns a successful business, she was brought up by a single Mom who just lost her battle with cancer. Before she dies she tells Sally that her father is still alive and that she should look for him, she believed her father was deceased. So after her mother passes she takes a DNA test in hopes to track him down. With a successful match she reaches out to a possible relative that leads her to her father. They meet and hit it off, he notices she is skittish and she tells him the attack she suffered while walking to her car. When he asks her to come meet the rest of the family she takes him up on his offer and leaves her business in the capable hands of a new partner. Sally’s car breaks down right outside town and calls for a tow. Nolan owns the garage in Green Springs, he picks up Sally and tows her car to the garage. Nolan, lost his wife to cancer and has not been interested in anyone else since, that was until Sally entered his life. They do not exactly hit it off right away but Nolan is determined to not give up on his city girl. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the fast paced story is nicely plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful romance. C.A. Miconi, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride, it was great to catch up with the characters from the first book and great to be in Green Springs again.
🎧📚🎧And for the fabulous narration, Lacy Laurel and John Pirhalla are the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Lacy Laurel’s take on Sally was spot on, she took the role and made it her own. John Pirhalla did the same with Nolan’s role. Both were amazing with the secondary characters as well. They are talented narrators and entertaining storytellers, it is a pleasure to listen to their work. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Its bee an while since I read the first book in this series but I didn't need to have read it to have enjoyed this book. I like the atmosphere created in Green Springs Mississippi. I listened to this audiobook in a day and I liked it. It was fast=paced but was also kind of too fast. Sally and Nolan's relationship goes from strangers to enemies to friends to not friends to friends with benefits to a couple. I wish could have seen more their coupledom. Their relationship just felt rushed but overall I liked this book.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession and Pink Flamingo Productions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

small town romance
Sally thought she was going to be alone in the world , as her mother was dying from cancer. Her mother told her that her father wasn't really dead, and she should try to find him. Her whole world changes, when she finds out she had a relatives in the small town, Green Springs, Being an adult, will she be welcomed with open arms?
Right outside of town her car broke down. Nolan, the tow truck driver was immediately enamored with her. Being from Chicago, Nolan gives her the nickname "City Girl."
Sally is independent, stubborn, strong willed, not looking for any romantic relationships. But Nolan has something else on his mind. But how is he going to change hers?
I love this small town story with newfound family and friends, .
Lacy Laurel and John Pirhalla narration is phenomenal. Their performance brings all the character to life, by giving each one their voice and personality.

Forgettable
The author really kept this low angst. You have a black woman who 1)found out she's a daughter of a white man 2)who lives in Mississippi 3)and is rich. There were no racial microaggressions or any conflicts with the family that the heroine went over to meet. Everybody cleared the air from the beginning and accepted each other with open arms. That's fine, except there was nothing else that would hold my interest in this story. The only issues the heroine faced was her own silly "friends-with-benefits" rules which made this an annoying slow burn romance. I honestly didn't remember anything else that went on in this story.

Good
I really liked this book and would recommend it. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. The one thing I found odd was the author would take you all the way with sexual descriptions, but then stop when it comes to the actual act. So, if you want a semi-clean read this book is for you.
This couple was cute together. I like how the family accepted her. I wish her parents had meet up again before her mother died. It would have been great for her to know Sandy still wanted her.

Sally and Nolan
I really liked to hear about Sally and Nolan who are key characters in Finding Love In Green Springs series. I fell love with Sally’s character in Be Brave With Me. CA Miconi wrote really believable characters in both of the books of this series and it was great peeking into the characters from book one.
Sally played by Lacy Laurel was portrayed as such a sassy woman who I would love to be friends with. And her finding her father who she believed to be dead was so life changing and heartwarming to see. Wow would that be shocking to discover and I loved that her Dad embraced Sally upon them finding out about each other.
Nolan played by John Pirhalla is a country boy at heart and the accent was amazing at allowing me to fully see his character in this audiobook.
This little town is just the place for this opposite attract couple to bloom.

Sweet Small-Town Romance
Be One With Me by C.A. Miconi is a small-town romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lacy Laurel and John Pirhalla. This is the second book in the Finding Love In Green Springs series.
This is the second book of C.A.’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the sweet romance that grew between Sally and Nolan. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Finding Love In Green Springs so I can get Barbara Jeanne’s story.
Lacy and John did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you love sweet small-town romances.

Short Small Town Romance
This is the second book in the Finding Love in Green Springs Series, a Small Town Romance. Sally and Nolan's slow burn romance is interesting. They are opposites attract, and they share an undeniable chemistry. Sally is a lovely city girl. Nolan is a handsome country boy. The storyline is filled with angst, trust issues, and miscommunication. Lacy Laurel and John Pirhalla did a good job with the narration. #TheFlock #PinkFlamingoProductions #AudiobookObsession

Super Sweet and Angsty
Be One With Me, my first read by CA Miconi, is a wonderfully written slow burn love story between Sally and Nolan.
What brought the magic and made it creditworthy was the narration by Lacy Laurel and John Pirhalla. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Low Drama, Happy Story
Be One With Me is book two in the Finding Love in Green Springs series and can be read as a standalone. Sally goes in search of her father after her mother dies leaving her with no known family. After meeting her father she relocates to Mississippi to be closer to him and get to know him and other family members. There she also meets Nolan, the local mechanic, who is also a widower.
Nolan is smitten with Sally at first sight and from their first meeting, though Sally didn't have as great of a first impression. Sally also isn't looking for a relationship but agrees to friendship. The more time they spend together, the attraction and chemistry grows until they both give finally give in.
I thought the story line was interesting and had promise but fell a little flat for me in execution. I did like both of the main characters for the most part and liked the low drama aspect of the book. Lacy Laurel and John Pirhallaboth did a good job with the narration of the story. #TheFlock #PinkFlamingoProductions

Sweet
I really liked this book, which is the first book I've listened to by this author. Sally is a city girl who finds out that who her father is when she's 40. She meets Nolan who is instantly attracted to Sally. Admittedly, she's so abrasive in the beginning that i didn't find his immediate attraction to her believable (and I'm a city girl). But both characters, as well as the surrounding characters, really grew on me and i started to love their interactions. This is generally low angst, focusing on both romantic and filial relationships and the story is a beautiful reflection on how important family really is.
I really enjoyed the narration! Lacey Laurel was the perfect narrator for Sally while John Pirhalla is new to me but had excellent range and was well paced. Overall, the narration elevated the story.

Heartwarming...
I really enjoyed Sally and Nolan's story. They have both been hurt by their pasts so have shut themselves off from any type of personal joy... Until one fateful day but that too doesn't go according to plan... There are misunderstandings, some pride swollowing and a whole heap of heartwarming fun along the way with these two...

Be One with Me
This is such a sweet romance that shows race doesn’t matter when it comes to love. Also that friends turn out to be the perfect choice for the one to fall in love with. I really liked this book as the narration was done very well.

Amaze balls
The narrators were outstanding! The story just came to life, tore out your heart, stomped on it and then put it back together!! I loved this story. The angst was just right! I was speechless and in my feelings when I finished listening, but wow!

I would highly recommend this book if you love sweet small-town romances.

finding love again
this is the 2nd book in this series. It was good but felt rushed. the beginning was all about Sally and Sandy. while that us great I felt it was to many chapters about it. Once she.moved to Green Springs, it was about Nolan. she wanted casual and he wanted more. I liked how Drew and Maggie popped up in the story. Their wedding and all that detail should have been book 1, not a couple of chapters here. her father has a heart attack then told about a bypass. it's like it was skipped on details.
the narrators did a good job. enjoyed listening to them.
looking forward to the next one. in this series

Sally and Nolan!
When Sally’s mother passed away a family secret is revealed which points her to Green Springs and she realized that she isn’t really alone. The small town life turns out to be a welcome chance and although she and Nolan didn’t get off to the best start it wasn’t long before the sparks started to fly.
Nolan is healing from a painful loss of his own and Sally is the first person to make him feel in a long time. After a few missteps by both of them due to their very different backgrounds they realize that love and family is all that really matters.
I listened to an audio copy of this story and thought that both narrators did a great job at bringing out the personalities of the characters they portrayed. 🎧The Flock

My Thoughts on Be One With Me
This was a first for me with this author. But she definitely made a good first impression. I liked the nice quick pace that kept me interested. I felt like things flowed smoothly and kept the pages turning. Both main characters were likable. I might have been a bit more partial to Nolan and his patience and kindness but Sally was good too. And I could understand her hesitation and high walls in light of everything she'd been through, not just in the beginning of the story but also her whole life really only having one main person to count on. I do wish there had been more explanation given for the secrecy from Linda and honestly felt bad for everything Sandy missed out on. But the story itself was enjoyable.
Lacy Laurel was once again excellent. I just really enjoy her performance every time. Her co-narrator was new to me and if I'm honest, I'm torn about him. I liked the way the story was narrated, especially with the POV style, but while I definitely felt John Pirhalla was great for Sandy and Elijah and would have thought this was perfect had this been done in multi cast style, I didn't really love him as Nolan. I would have been happier with a little bit younger sounding voice. But that being said, he was a good narrator.
Overall this was a good story and I would happily listen to more of this author's work.
