I love this series

Marcus Battle is man driven by righteousness. Lost 2 families, his home, and his friends.
A very capable nemesis of the wicked. A defender against ruthless bandits and government thugs alike.
Similar to Deputy Raines in the Survivalist series, only tortured by his need to avenge.

As far as the east is from the west...

So far has Tom Abrahams has set himself apart from other authors again in the genre. Not the blaspheme and misquote scripture in the last sentence, but Battle is a great book and a great addition for the namesake character. If you read this you won’t be disappointed, and you won’t want to stop listening. I look forward to Legacy.

OMG - JUST KEEPS GETTIN BETTER!

I have absolutely LOVED this series. I happened to have heard a reference to this series through another prepper fiction series I had listened to before this one, & decided to give it a chance... I've only been into this genre for a couple of years, but since then, I have NOT switched back to any other types of genre at all. I've got to say this one is right up there in my top 5. Seriously. The author is so good at bringing his words to life, and I quite literally feel like I'm sucked down into the world I'm imagining as I read, & completely zone out to the rest of the world. I started listening to audiobooks when I started my career as a Medical Coder a few years ago, after realizing that music wasn't quite cutting it for me... I have had ADHD pretty bad my whole life, & while I can control it, my mind still wanders... but when I am listening to a good survival/prepper book with my headphones on, I'm able to completely tune everything else out to where my only focus is work and whatever disaster, TEOTWAWKI, SHTF world that I'm in at the time. lol

But this is a GREAT series! I've really only listened to the EMP-type of books, other than one or two other times, so i wasn't sure about the plague thing,,, as i've never really pictured anything else happening, but this is actually far more realistic than many other situations I believe, and I'm glad that this author opened my eyes & mind to other disasters that COULD happen. Its a little TOO real, but that's what makes it even better. I like this, and I hope to read more awesome books by this author! I just wish we could be offered more "box sets" by Audible - we spend a lot of money w/ them, but my complaint probably lies more on Amazon/Audible than it does the author! I would still be buying these up left & right though :) Keep it up! You have a new fan!!!! (EVEN IF you made me CRY)

Marcus Battle is a post apocalyptic Batman. I have really enjoyed these books! Each book giving me new characters to become attached to.

Phenomenal!

An absolute gem. Great series and stories throughout. Definite ‘Do not miss’, the author takes you through highs and lows and Kevin Pierce’s narration is astounding!

I really enjoyed listening to the narrator. Tom Abrams has pretty good store in line going.

Can Battle get a break?

After the Cartel conflict Battle was tired and yearned to settle down. Unfortunately, Battle had amassed quite a reputation during the fighting with both the Cartel and then the LRC Gang. Folks looking for some form of glory or a reputation of their own would not let Battle settle down. As sheriff in the town of Beard Battle was a highly visible target. Revenge toward the people that slaughtered his family set him against the LRC Gang. The three that left him for dead in his barn were from that gang and it was only a matter of time until he and his friends tracked them down. Payback was sudden and brutal, as only revenge can be. Ultimately, Battle must consider his options, confront all the killing, and deal with the danger he and his friends are constantly faced with. How Battle will resolve these issues is something you must find out for yourself. The narration was excellent and the story progresses. Still, sometimes unrealistic how main character simply walks into the enemy's stronghold and succeeds every time.
