The barred owl is native to Eastern North America. It is a nocturnal bird with rich baritone hooting calls. Members of a pair often use such hooting sounds to talk to each other. Although the bird is mostly nocturnal, it will also call and even hunt in the daytime.
Owl calls have specific deep and mysterious character. This recording offers continuous barred owl bird calls recorded in their natural habitat, together with other birds and forest creatures.
