Bridget and Shep are Adorable

Super cute and I loved the humor and sex-ploration plan. Jason and Lili are wonderful.

The Author Made The Main Character Sound Stupid

Narration was good but didn't care for the story as the author made the female lead sound juvenile and stupid. The story really didn't flow well. It was not what I expected.

Proving a theory has never been this fun

Technically, Bang Theory isn't my first audiobook penned by Lili Valente nor my first with her and Jason Clarke narrating. Nope, that honor goes to Friends with Bang-i-fits, the prequel to The Bangover and available on SoundCloud for free listening for a short period of time. That short listen left me impressed with this particular narrating duo--I'd already loved listening to Clarke in the past, but I had no clue that Valente did voice-over work as well, and what I heard had me surprised in the best ways possible. That being said, Bang Theory is my first full-length listen to these two, and having already read the book, I wanted to see how they would bring Valente's story about two best friends, Shep Strong and Bridget Lawrence, figure out how to make a relationship that goes beyond friendship work and if it would be worth it considering one is a rock star drummer who's usually out of town recording, performing, or touring and the other is a B&B owner who prefers staying exactly where she is. Oh, and there are also the pesky complications of avoiding the ire of Bridget's older sister should she ever find out, keeping their feelings from the rest of the band and her friends, and leading different lives. Did I forget to mention there's a stalker, too?

I love the author's brand of humor, which is a fun blend of witty and slapstick, and she balances it quite nicely with a lot of heart and heat. Bridget is both beautiful and smart, but she is a wee bit lost when it comes to the fine art of seduction, which is where Shep comes in. He could teach her a thing or ten, but Shep's feelings for Bridget are very real, and the last thing he wants to do is to mess up their friendship, especially given that should anything happen between them and they do become a couple, nothing could ever come of it given Bridget's anxieties about being away from their hometown of Hidden Kill Bay. There were a number of times that I actually laughed out loud because of the stuff that Bridget would say or do, and Shep is the guy who's always been her zen, giving her heart and mind peace. Their evolving relationship, of course, went through its trials, but while there was a hint of angst, this was every bit the kind of rom-com that you'll want keeping you company through your headphones/earphones. Having Lili Valente and Jason Clarke narrating takes everything to a whole new level of listening pleasure, with Valente perfectly bringing Bridget to life and no one better than Clarke becoming Shep. Valente and Clarke are a fantastic duo of narrators, and have left me wanting to listen to more. Bang Theory snags five stars. ♥

Suspense

I just love this Series with the romance & throw in some high jinks into the mix and it will keep you on your toes.. Fun read or listen

Best friends to lovers

Loving this series and Shep and Bridget didn't disappoint. Shep is the drummer in the band. Hometown boys that made it big and they tend to unwind at home on their off times. His bestie runs a B&B and when Bridget has a problem she needs fixed she decides Shep is the perfect person to test her "theory" with. Shep isn't quite sure this is the best idea since he has had more than "friend" feeling for Bridget for a long time but they embark on this journey to help Bridget anyway.

This is funny and sweet and at times a little sad and throw in danger that is lurking in the background and you have not only a romantic comedy but also a mystery. No spoilers here but I loved this audiobook.

Jason Clarke, oh swoon I could listen to this man read the phone book and add Lili Valente telling her own story and it is a win win for me. They both did a great job narrating.

I loved this audio and highly recommend it.

Great 2nd story in the series

Lili Valente is great - Jason Clarke is the absolute best!

Shep is the drummer for hot rock band Lips On Fire, oldest in his family and used to taking care of everyone around him. Bridget is Kirby's younger sister (from The Bangover).

They all grew up together in their small town, along with the other band members. Shep and Bridget have had it bad for each other for years, but they've never taken that step.

Things get warmer when Bridget comes to Shep with the proposition that he help coach her in matters of romance. The last thing he wants is to give her the confidence and skills to take her heart anywhere else.

Cute story with a little crazy stalker storyline that resolves pretty quickly.

One of my favorite of Lili's!

Bang Theory is the second book in The Bangover series. I am loving this series with the rockstar heroes and the quirky, fun loving leading ladies. I loved Kirby and Colin's story, but I loved Shep and Bridget's story more! Lili continues to amaze me with her fantastic writing, loveable characters and the hilarious banter.

Story:
Shep is the drummer in Colin's band and Bridget is Kirby's sister. Shep, be still my heart! He's perfection with his beard, his sweetness and his sexiness! Shep and Bridget have been best friends for years. She doesn't think she's sexy or wanted. She's ready to move forward with her life and she wants a man. She needs help attracting a man and Shep is just the man for the job. But Shep just can't. She's his best friend and he can't lose her. But he can't watch her with another man, so he agrees to help her. Just until the band leaves on tour. If they have an end date it will all be ok, right? Wrong, so wrong! Shep can't stop his feelings for Bridget and one kiss, one touch, one night, will never be enough. Can Shep and Bridget go from best friends to lovers. Forever? Oh man! I loved this story! It gave me all the feels! I felt hard and fast for Shep and loved them together! I can't wait to see more from this group of fun friends!

Narration: Jason and Lili are fantastic together! They were Shep and Bridget. They are talented narrators and actors and they brought Shep and Bridget to life for me. This is one of my favorite books of Lili's!
