Publisher's summary
Once I met a boy and gave him my heart. But what if he never gives it back?
He’s our neighbors’ adopted son. He’s quiet, brooding, hot. We walk together down the street after school and we talk. I want him a lot. But he thinks he’s bad luck, a bad son, and that misunderstandings will tear us apart.
This is the story of how Gigi and Jarett met. It is a prequel to Bad Wolf, book four of the Wild Men series.

I liked it
As a prequel I thought it was good. It makes me very curious as to what’s going to happen and how he’s going to overcome some pretty awful circumstances to accomplish what he’s set fir himself

Short and sweet prequel
A nice prequel novella performed by some talented narrators. Definitely worth the listen.
I listened while it was free as part of the Plus catalog. I don’t think I’d pay a whole credit for it, but I’d definitely recommend paying a few dollars for it on sale. It’s a good story on its own and a great lead in to the next book.

Not everything you think is bad
This is a short novella that will start the series . This story will show two people that are looking for sometimes , not sure what they are looking for , is it protection , , a connection that is not explained.
Both Hero and heroine start off on an awkward connection, not realizing they are right for each other . Something happens that will put their connection to the test. It’s both their pride and insecurities.
Both Teddy Hamilton and Summer Roberts performance was fantastic. Their tones and voices were spot on , they pulled you into the story

it was okay.
Love Teddy, wasn't crazy about Summer's narration though. The story was a bit strange so I'm hoping the next ones ties it up nicely

Great intriguing read!
Whelp, I’m officially captivated! Never read/listened to anything by Jo Raven before but now my attention has been peaked! I may need to read the whole series to get to book 4 or I may just jump right to it! IDK.
It was a great teaser for what is to come and I managed to even feel a little bit for both characters in that short time.
I’ve always loved Teddy Hamilton AND Summer Roberts, 2 of the greats where narrators are concerned! They always bring the story to life. I love it!
All in all a fun little read and I can’t wait to see what happens in adulthood now!

Not happy !
i have to say this was one sad crappy book with a lousy ending. Even though the epilogue indicates they end up together it was a real lousy ending and not worth the time spent listening to it. I wanted a short story to fill in a couple hours and now i fell kinda depressed. Don’t waste your time !
