Publisher's summary

From the author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the Netflix Original series, Sex/Life) comes an immersive dystopian romance unlike anything you’ve ever heard.

What could be worse than knowing the exact day the world is going to end?

Waking up to find out that it didn’t.

The post–April 23 world is a lawless, senseless, ruthless place, but it’s not loveless. At least, not for Rain and Wes.

But when the government begins holding daily televised executions as a demonstration of their power, that love is put to the ultimate test.

Will Rain sacrifice one life to save the others?

Or sacrifice the others to save the one?

It’s my favorite!

So here I am, frothing at the mouth for this baby, dying to see what becomes of this couple after I dove off the cliff that was Fighting for Rain. And I kid you not, I could not put this book down. If I didn't have to adult, I'm sure I would have had it done in about 3 hours. But also, if I'd done that, I might have been taken away in an ambulance due to how erratic my heart was racing as I devoured this book.

Rain's had it rough. After everything that happened BEFORE the end of the world, who wouldn't feel for the poor thing. But Wes taught her to be a survivor, and thank God he did. She needed every last bit of him building her up to make it through the last book, and it's not over yet.

If you've read this far, you know there were a host of new characters in the last book that are amazing and evoked ALL THE FEELS. You'll know there are some you wanted to wrap up in your arms and keep safe. And there are ones you probably wanted to throat-punch. Some you can forgive, some you want to burn in the bowels of Hell, and you think there's no way they could ever redeem themselves. Well, get ready to have those ideas tested, because at the end of the world, things aren't always what they seem.

I've never read anything like this series. I've never feared that my heart would pound its way right out of my chest like I did in the middle of this book. I've never pulled harder for a group of characters, hoping every last one of them, even the ones who were evil from head to toe, could make it through all the shtuff that was throw at them.

This book, this series, will forever be one of the best I've ever read.

The audiobook on this one was fantastic! Narrators did a wonderful job and really brought the story to life.

Amazing Trilogy must hear!

I survived... barely, wow this series couldn't have a better finale. So many factors, a lot of drama, action and unpredictable twists. I enjoyed this ride so much, it is totally an epic end to a trilogy you need to read. Be ready to take the ride of the year in this thrilling dystopian world. It was totally worth the wait between the books. BB Easton outdid herself and I am rooting for wherever she wants to take me next.

3rd and final book. Not my fav, but interesting

Both narrators did a good job! The male narrator has grown on me throughout listening to each of the books in this series. I’ve always enjoyed the female narrator; she has a nice tone to her voice and fits Rain’s character well.

I’m going to go with a 3 for this finale book. Rain wallows less in this book and the story does have some entertainment value, but I never connected with any of the characters in this whole series. I liked Wes okay; he’s so sweet with Rain. They really do have a lovely connection. Rain isn’t as annoying as she was in the previous books, but she still makes stupid decisions. You have a gun girl! Why aren’t you using it!? Wes has been arrested and most likely will be executed for being a decent person, so Rain sets out to save him. I liked to read about Rain actually taking action instead of becoming a mess when there’s issues. There was some “jokes” made towards the end that I didn’t care for and I would’ve been more than happy to never read about Q again, but I like the overall premise of the story. Love dystopian type of stories! Overall, this has been an interesting series, but my annoyance with pretty much every character really didn’t endear me this series. Still a fun, weird, annoying adventure!
