Publisher's summary

If Erin Banks has a moral code, you’d need an Enigma machine to crack it.

So it’s no surprise when she signs a contract with the city’s most powerful crime syndicate, the Galoffi family; an incestuous brother and sister who run their operation as man and wife.

The crown prince of the Galoffi family has been kidnapped, and Erin is tasked with getting him back. The only problem: the list of potential suspects is longer than a polar night, and body parts are already showing up in the mail.

Someone snatched the heir to the Galoffi fortune, and whoever they are, whatever they are, they’re not asking for ransom money. So why did they do it, and what do they want in return?

There’s something else bothering Erin too, and it’s the reason she took the job in the first place. The eye-witness description of the kidnapper is a match for the mysterious Red-Eyed Man who stole away her baby brother.

Is this it? Is Erin finally about to find out what happened to her missing brother, and if she does, will she be able to live with the truth?

Magic, scares, and acid-tongued snark collide in this thrilling urban fantasy series set in the Uncanny Kingdom. Buried secrets and whiplash twists will keep you riding the edge of your seat. Listen to Bad Blood now for a pulse-pounding tale you won’t be able to hit pause on.

Liked it even more than book 1!

I really enjoyed this book. The same humor and action that you can always find in this series were there, plus it somehow felt deeper. Also, the one thing that annoyed me in book 1 (the main character's constant lusting over guys) didn't find its way to the second book, so even better! The ending was amazing too.

Excellent story

Great second installment to this series! I love the humor that the authors bring to the story, and the bad ass female lead. The narrator did a fantastic job on this! I’m not good at writing reviews so I leave it to the other reviewers to tell you what happened in this story. I will say that the main bad guy was wildly messed up in the head… if you listen, you’ll see!

Good set up

This was just a fun setup for a next book. The story line was not the most cohesive, but definitely made you feel like some of the characters had history you wanted to know about. Recommend
