Publisher's summary

The last thing Smokey should let himself want is this man, but he can’t seem to stay away....

Every time Smokey stares at the President patch on his cut, he feels like an imposter. After all, that was not the life he was supposed to lead. In his former club, he did what they asked, when they asked, and that was enough for him. But 30 years later and the fate of the Broken Chains resting on his shoulders, all eyes were on him.

Smokey had enough to deal with after the VP of Satan’s Souls got carted off to prison on his watch, but now there’s a dead man in an alley with a cut bearing the name of The Cobras. And Smokey knows they’re not prepared to handle the consequences if the Cobras’ President thinks they’re responsible.

However, the dead man isn’t the worst part: The only witness is a civilian.

Eliah Burns was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it seems like fate really has it in for Smokey, because Eliah is also the one man he’s been avoiding. Eliah has been in Smokey’s periphery for years, his little brother’s favorite professor - and he’s also the one-night stand Smokey hasn’t been able to forget.

Now Eliah’s in Smokey’s home, hiding from the men who want him dead, and Smokey’s trying to keep his heart from tripping and falling for a man he shouldn’t want, while learning who is trying to set his club up to start a full on war.

Broken Chains MC is a Motorcycle Club Romance series with dubious morality, mild violence, and happily ever afters.

Fantastic

I’m loving this series. Smokey is a MC President with a kind heart. Elijah is just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Listening to this story unfold had me gripped from the beginning. Logan Anare did a fantastic job making sure all the voices were clear and distinct. I will definitely be looking to add more books by this narrator!

Smokey & Eliah

Smokey is really trying to leave his more violent past behind him but it's hard when your past comes right back up and bites you in the a**. Not only is a dead man in an alley from a rival gang a problem trying to be pinned on his club, but the only civilian eyewitness is one of his biggest weaknesses, Eliah. Now he has to keep Eliah safe while trying to keep his hands and heart off Eliah. Not easy when Eliah wants Smokey just as much. It's a twisted tale as not only these 2 but the other club members and Eliah's brother try to stay safe and eliminate the enemy. Quite a journey for Smokey and Eliah with an HEA for them but still a lot unresolved that makes me anxious for the next one in the series. The narrator did a good job with the characters and the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Aaron and Eliah

I really liked this book. Aaron (Smokey) is the MC President. Through Rory, his younger brother, he meets Eliah, a professor at Rory’s college. Sparks fly with their first meeting, but neither are willing to put themselves out there for a relationship. When Eliah witnesses a murder, Aaron saves him before the killers have a chance to silence him. A lot of the book revolves around figuring out who is behind everything and then how to bring him down. While the ending isn’t a cliffhanger, there are some unresolved issues that I’m assuming will be carried over in the next book. Aaron and Eliah both deserve some happiness in their lives and they finally get it. Also, this book introduces Eliah’s twin brother Jude, who I’m sure we will see more of.

Enjoyed It a Lot

Very good story, MC club with kind hearted prez who saves a professor. I liked all the characters, especially Smoky and Eliah together. Narrator did a good job with voices and story and made this a great listening experience. I started the series with this book and feel it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Another awesome story

I am a huge fan of EM Lindsey's stories and this one is no exception. This series is darker than the others I have read or listened to but it is just as good. And this narrator was a new one for me but I enjoyed his interpretation of the characters.

Smokey♥️Eliah

I loved listening to Smokey and Eliah's story.

They were sweet together and the chemistry between them was intense and palpable.

The storyline was fairly interesting and drew me in from the very beginning.

The character development was good and the plot was well executed.

The narrator did a good audio delivery and narration

Smokey and Eliah - what a ride!!

Solid narration!  i enjoyed the narrators voices for each of our MC's and he really brought the book to life for me!

I loved the connection that keeps drawing them into each other’s worlds.  These guys are wonderfully suited to each other and their journey is a bit twisty and bumpy.  They really have a beautiful and emotionally powerful romance.  The writing is good and the pacing kept me listening and enjoying it.

There is suspense, action, intimacy and connection that will keep you engaged with this story-line.  Really loved both characters!

This is book two of the  Broken Chains MC series and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but I would recommend for full enjoyment reading or listening to book one first.

Holy Moly!! 😳

Fantastic listen! Not only is the storyline excellent, but the narration is spot and and I loved the British accents! this strikes me.as.a bit of opposites attract. Motorcycle club president and the professor. I loved the juxtaposition of the two. I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!

Wrong place wrong time

If Eliah didn’t have bad luck he would have no luck. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time has put his life in jeopardy. Smokey has escaped his rough upbringing and is trying to start fresh with his own crew. But when Eliah’s bad luck meets up with Smokey’s past both men find themselves in a lot of danger. The narration was spot on, the story was good but was too drawn out at times. Story did leave questions unanswered in the end making me want to read/listen to the next story

Great story and Fantastic performance

The narrator brought the story to life. He had a great reading voice, kept a good pace, expressed the emotions well and did different voices for the different characters. He did a very convincing Enlish accent for the teacher that was a joy to listen to. This was my first time listening to this narrator but I would love to listen to more from them.
