Publisher's Summary

Jealousy, greed, and violent revenge are all at the forefront in this addictive listen by Brenda Hampton, the queen of girlfriends' drama. Kayla, Evelyn, and Trina have been on-and-off-again girlfriends for many years, but the lines of true friendship have been crossed, the knives that went into another friend's back cut deep, and trust no longer applies when one woman has an affair with another's man. Will this trio ever be able to regain the bond of loyalty they once shared?

Fire the narrators and/or re-write this book

Sooo many problems with this book. ugh. I wish it was edited heavily. I listened to the whole thing but not happily. 1st- the narrators had decent voices but I noticed some trips over words. also, the delivery was seriously lacking. some of the narrators sounded like they were "hooked on phonics" trying to read. Sheesh. Plus, the writing dialect baffled me. the same character would curse someone out one line and the next line say things like, "it pains me..." Character development would definitely help. Then, the sex-crazed husband was so callous it was unrealistic. You know when you watch TV shows about high school jocks and how they're really mean to the nerd? You watch it but you know real school isn't like that. This book is that equivalent. Pass on it for bad narration, incongruous writing, homophobia and unrealistic behavior on behalf of the characters. PASS

good read

I have to say first that I could not have survived a friendship with Evelyn. These ladies went through their worst and best times over and over again and still were able to call on each when the chips were down. Some If the plots were a bit unrealistic at times but still entertaining .

Entertaining, but not relatable

Definitely a book for pure entertainment purposes only because they are not relatable. I have no sympathy for any of them, they appeared weak and dumb to me. The fact that they kept referring to each other as bffs while betraying each other and knowing they had been betrayed. They also kept sharing their business with the one who betrayed them baffled me. As stupid as they were it was pretty entertaining hoping they would gain common sense.

True BFFs!!

The book had a great story line, however, the narrators were not the best. Their voices were too old for the ages the characters were suppose to be. The emotions in their readings were horrible.

Wow!

This trilogy was worth my time. Frenemies describes they relationship perfectly. I wouldn’t call either of them my “BFF”.

Great read

This is an excellent boon and a definite must read. The author had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I wish more was added to the ending though.

bad male voice over. Male character voices bad.

the story was good and depicted some real life scenarios in marriage, love and relationships. The male voices sounded like the character was getting ready to die. The male voice made it hard to listen to. Also too much emphasis on sex scenes.
