A collection of BDSM stories where women explore their sexual taboo fantasies with men other than their significant others, some with the significant other’s blessing or voyeurism. All in all, a titillating set of stories. Some not in my realm, others making me curious – as intended.

The narration was okay. The narrator did well on the women’s parts but was a little short on those for the men. She really got into the emotions and vocals for the sex scenes. I liked it.

Pretty good

It seems that a few different bdsm stories seem to be in every bdsm book, some of the same stories are rehashed...

I loved it!

Overall, I thought the stories were well written. I had a little trouble going from one story to the next, but not sure if it was me because at times I didn't seem to catch when one story ended and the next one began, like there may not have been an introduction between stories. Overall, it was a pleasure listening to them and I cannot wait to see what the author writes next.

Great intro to BDSM

6 very different stories, but all were equally steamy and intriguing....

Ruby Rivers' narration really brings to life Noir's solid writing. Noir does a great job is showcasing many of the different aspects of BDSM and of being a submissive; showcasing that there is a lot more to the dynamic than meets the eye.

Each story stands on it's own and is hot and steamy - however not over the top if this is your first venture into this genre.

Highly recommend this compilation if you're looking for a good into to the BDSM genre, or are just looking for a quick steamy listen.

I have always enjoyed reading Alexandria Noir’s books, and I was fortunate enough this time to have the Audible version narrating along as I read the printed words. If you have never had the opportunity to listen simultaneous to your reading, you really should spend the extra few dollars (at least once) to get both media forms and try it. The narration serves to enhance the printed words and, IMHO immerses you into a much more vivid and living experience. At times you can feel that you are physically there either administering or receiving the pain and ecstasy as one of the participants, and that wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the lifelike representations of them that Ms. Noir has penned! There are six stories included in this volume and, while the author has labeled them as “Bedtime Stories” I think that they would be better identified as stories that you will want to share with your partner in a comfortable, intimate setting when you both will have lots of time, perhaps in front of the fireplace with a cocktail and can commit enough time to enjoy each story from start to finish with a generous allowance of additional time for practicing the examples that have excited you both! If you are a follower of this literary genre, then this collection should definitely be a part of your library!

Now I Get It...

I’ve never found myself drawn to BDSM erotica. The idea of handcuffs, whips, and ball gags during sex just didn’t do anything for me. But this group of stories came recommended to me by an erotica author whose work I really enjoy, so I took a chance. And I’m glad I did.

These five stories by Alexandra Noir show through example that BDSM is not just all about being tied up and spanked. In fact, that is only a small part of it. It’s really about power exchange.

Whether it’s to get away from the stress of having to always be the boss in charge on the job, wanting to be restrained and taken in bed, or giving up control to serve a master, each of these stories deals with the transfer of personal power to another. When a submissive gives that power to a dominant, they also give up responsibility for adhering to the sexual restrictions society places upon them. Being bound and taken, acting a slut, or risking exposure in public are all done freely in service to their dom. And these stories demonstrate that giving up control can be so, so erotic.

Maybe to those who have long enjoyed this genre of erotica I am simply stating the obvious, but it’s a new world to me. A world I’d like to explore further.

I’d highly recommend this book to anyone curious about BDSM or looking for stories that are not too extreme. Alexandra’s writing is solid, and Ruby Rivers gives one of her strongest performances that I’ve experienced.

Soooooo naughty and hot

I loved this. It was incredible. The writing is phenomenal and Ruby Rivers’ voice is perfect for what happens in here. “The Kindness” of strangers was definitely my favorite story. Enjoy! I did.
