Easy to Hear at Night

The recording is clean and easy to follow, even when I was listening from the hallway while my child was settling down. The narrator speaks at a calm pace, with enough feeling to help each story come alive, but never gets so dramatic that it wakes anyone up. The volume stayed consistent from story to story, and the short sections made it simple to pause and resume later.
I liked the gentle sound of the whole production. The retellings are clear and comforting, although a couple felt a little simple for older children in the age range. For younger listeners, though, the audio format works especially well.

Sending This to My Sister

I’d send this to my sister, whose two young children still find reasons to stay awake long after bedtime. The stories are brief, gentle, and easy to fit into a nightly routine, especially the ones about Daniel, the storm, and the Good Shepherd. They give parents a natural way to talk about fear, trust, kindness, and God’s care without turning bedtime into a lesson.
