An addicting, engaging slow burn romance full of thrills, romance and banter. This was one read I couldn't put down. The story is captivating from beginning to end and I was so immersed in Clara and Eli's world that I never wanted to leave. The trauma of the past was written and incorporated perfectly. Pair this with the motherhood and monster hunter elements and you have one story that will hold your attention until the very end.

These narrators are two of my favorites! I will listen to anything they narrate and this story is no different. @voiceover.patrick surprised me in this one and actually made me double check that he was the one narrating. He gave his voice a whole new southern feel that I hadn't heard before and blew me away. @breebooks2016 can narrate multiple characters and I am always left shocked that it is just her. This duo completely knocked this out of the park.

I recommend this to readers who enjoy their romance full of yearning, banter and desire with plenty of thrills and twists to keep you turning pages long after you should've gone to bed.

Supernatural meets Nora Roberts perfection

Fans of Supernatural or Urban Fantasy who also enjoy a Nora Roberts Romance will love this.

I don’t usually listen to a book I’ve already read. I made an exception with The Hunter’s Heart. I’m so thrilled that I did.

I knew going in that Sarah Neese’s small town rooted, Supernatural coded, romance of Clara and Eli finding a safe place in each other was going to tug at my heart. Bree Allison and Patrick Sean’s narration had their story take up residence there. All of Sarah’s well crafted prose, the touching moments, the flirty banter, the vulnerable confessions and the nail biting action were masterfully given voice. For me, where the talent was truly evident, was the way the villain was portrayed. Both Bree and Patrick gave him an icy evil cadence that was truly unnerving.

I highly recommend Sarah Neese’s writing and Bree Allison and Patrick Sean’s performance. My fingers are crossed that these three will collaborate again.

Captivating!

The storyline keeps you locked in the whole time. The last few chapters you cannot put the book down.
The performance was a perfect match for the characters.

What a delightful surprise! Went into this story blind, and really loved the paranormal aspect to this. Has all of my favorite types of tropes and really had a great time with this romantic suspense. Felt like a season of Supernatural with the romance added in. Loved it!
