The Book of Revelation: What Must Soon Take Place-Doxological Postmillennialism offers a comprehensive exposition of Revelation set within the broader scope of eschatology. Within this framework, eschatology is prior to, and more fundamental than, special revelation, since its truth is grounded in the nature of God and man and in the reality of good and evil as structured in the created order.
The final book of Scripture, therefore, presupposes this eschatological context, first revealed in creation and progressively unfolded throughout Scripture. The perspicuity of eschatology is affirmed across general revelation, special revelation, and Historic Christianity, with each reinforcing the others, bringing increased clarity regarding its most basic truth: the good-eternal life, or man's chief end-and, by implication, the question of how and when this end is realized.
