Nicolai Romanov is one of the world’s most eligible billionaires, tall, royal, hot, and ripped, and he just drunk-married a commoner off the streets of Las Vegas. And the worst part is, he’s falling in love with her. But surely there’s no way Lexi Byrne, a recently jilted bride from Nowhere, Nebraska, can fit into Nicolai’s dazzling, jet-set, royal billionaire world.
Not at a huge Vegas nightclub party with more royal titles than a historical romance novel.
Not among his tall, gorgeous, eerily beautiful friends who look like they stepped out of a romantasy series. Not when her ex-fiancé of course stumbles across them in the casino. And definitely not when a Russian mafia boss begins hunting them down, angry that Lexi stole the rich prince he wanted to marry to his bratva princess daughter.
Because with Nicolai’s royal blood and his bratva’s power, Demyan Volkov could rule the world.
And nothing will stop him.
If you love:

I was thrilled to get a copy of An Heir to Blood and Power, the second installment of Blair Babylon’s newest series, Billionaire Sanctuary: The Heir. Book 2 follows Nico and Lexi through the day following their Vegas wedding. Lexi is introduced to Nico’s friends and family, and the chemistry between them finally ignites.
Gabriel Michael’s performance as Nico is stellar. His voice conveys the life I imagine a royal billionaire would have lived. Blair Babylon brings Lexi’s much different experience -- that of a young girl who lived in a restrictive religious small town -– to life expertly.
I am obviously not the writer Blair Babylon is, because I cannot find the words to explain how captivating this book is. The characters, the dialogue, the settings – everything is incredibly detailed and, as expected, we’re left on a cliff-hanger, and I'm anxiously waiting for the next book to drop.
Great Story - Can’t Wait for Book 3

This installment picks up where the first book left off. The 'happy couple' are dealing with the aftermath of their quick wedding and the fallout from it. It takes place the next day where Lexi is thrust into Nico's world and is rightfully having difficulties with their differences. She is unprepared to go from farm girl to royalty. Nico on the other hand is dealing with his friends and family believing he got married and that he has been having a clandestine relationship with Lexi for the last two years. This is all taking place while Volkov is in the background stewing over getting duped by Nico and not marrying his daughter but what is to come from him is still unknown.
Now things are also heating up between Lexi and Nico, The chemistry between them is starting to simmer and Lexi is ready to move forward with her life while Nico is fighting his restraint from her. The pair enter an agreement that they will be intimate together but Lexi will remain a virgin until after they have the annulment that Nico so desperately desires a year later.
As far as their story going, I thought that things would have progressed farther then the next day. This whole book only advances a day so this pair of characters have now known each other for 2 days. I also am not sure how I feel about Lexi being as naive as she is. I realize that she comes from a rural background but I feel that she is also being portrayed as over the top rural with virtually no knowledge of the outside world. I think that for being a 21 year old that has been to college she should not be as naive as she is. I also wish that as a reader we had heard more from Nico in this book. Where their story is told from both POV, I just wish that there was more input from him since it feels like the story is basically Lexi's and not theirs.
Overall, this is a great addition to this series and I look forward to seeing what is in store for these characters next. I would recommend this book and this series so far to others.

I thought this book was charming, entertaining with a touch of humor with Lexi's naivety and her misunderstandings and her ideas as a book, but with Blair narrating, I was literally in stitches throughout the book.
Gabriel is an excellent narrator, he brings Nicolai to life and even when he's narrating Lexi's part he brings the story to life.
We also get to meet more of Nico's inner circle, Lexi has her job cut out for her, when she is plunged into the world of the Uber Rich and Royalty elite.
The nightclub scenario.. when Lexi gets it into her head that Nico and his Beautiful Court... We'll let's not spoil it. But OMG I got it a lot more since I have just finished ACOTAR 😂 .
The story is fast paced and you are swept up into the story.
There is a hint of what's to come as you end this book, and I'm sure that the danger and suspense will ramp up in book 3.
I'm not an ardent Audiobook listener but this series definitely pulls me into the storyline easily and I didn't have a problem stay focused in the story.
Blair Babylon's narration of Lexi's small-town naivety, bringing out the rich humor against Nico's elite crew.
