When the Irish assassin falls for his neurodivergent girl next door, who keeps emotional support plants...

I’m the reaper my enemies never see coming.

Then I go home to an empty flat where the silence has turned deafening.

That changes when my beautiful, neurodivergent neighbor, who’s decided I’m her boyfriend, starts breaking into my home.

And leaving me plants.

It’s harmless. She’s harmless.

Until the night she’s in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Fallon Nova should’ve run when she saw me kill a man.

Instead, she stayed and patched me up.

Now she’s a witness.

And witnesses don’t live long in my world.

When all she wants is a date for the holidays in exchange for her silence, I tell myself I can fake it.

But pretending ends the second she kisses me and makes me want things I can’t have.

I want her. All of her in ways that have me in a chokehold.

She might have fallen first, but I fall harder.

And when someone from her past tries to take her away from me, everyone will see what kind of monster loving Fallon has turned me into...

Wicked Deception is the final book in the Quinlan Empire series and can be listened to as a STANDALONE.

Audio Review:

Okay so hear me out. I don't read alot of books that have neurodivergent characters. Not because I don't like them, but because it's such a touchy subject and I think hard to write without things being taken out of context. So finding a book that has that FMC that is neurodivergent I was hesitant at first, but I love Deborah and her books, in fact she is one of my automatic reads, so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did because I think she did a beautiful job wraping that story in one. Giving us Rhys who wasn't perfect and sometimes his words slipped out "Out of Context" and that right there is reality. His intent is never illwilled to make her feel less or to hurt her, but he strives to understand her, to protect her, and to love her in the way that she needs. Fallon was a character I never knew I needed till now and she was brilliant. The ups and down and everything in between, showing the readers her strength even if she doubted hers or when others may doubt her. This story was a slow burn that keeps you going and wanting more to their story. I loved this installment.

The audio for it? Perfection. Aaron Shedlock and Allyson Voller were supurb. Allyson gave such life to Fallon, she did a great job with this character and to be able to portray what I feel is a complex character shows her abilities as a narrator. Aaron Shedlock the way he is able to give such a variety in the voices to the characters and the way he gives us the protective and everloved Rhys I can't imagine a better narrator for this role. Such a great job and I can't wait to hear more by both narrators.

This just dropped on audio so of course I went back for it and I’m really glad I did. Hearing Fallon instead of just reading her made such a difference because you can actually follow the way her mind works and feel her emotions in real time. It made her feel even more real to me. And Rhys… hearing those quieter moments from him hit so much harder this time around. The duet style just pulled everything together and made their connection even stronger. If you’ve already read it, the audio is definitely worth going back for.

Great listen!

This is book 4 in the Quinlan Empire series. It was such a fun mix of danger, heart and

This is an Irish mafia romance with a protective MMC, a quirky FMC, emotional healing, stalking and chemistry that had me smiling the entire time 🤩👏🏽.

The FMC has endured trauma, but what I loved most about her was that she never lost her unique spark. The fact that she talks to her plants? Absolutely adorable and I was giggling so much! She brought so much warmth, humor and personality to the story. I loved her obsession with the MMC so much. Girl lived in deluluville and manifested herself a boyfriend 🤣.
The MMC is her neighbor and he’s so protective of her, he’s patient, adores her quirks and is so completely gone for her 🥵. The way he cared for her without trying to change who she was made my heart so happy. Watching him become her safe place while she slowly let her walls down was absolutely everything. For a big strong mafia man, he was such a sap for her.
Their relationship felt incredibly sweet underneath all the mafia danger. The banter, the support and the cute little moments between made this story feel so unique. I LOVE THEM!!!

Allyson and Aaron did an amazing job with this book!!

If you love Irish mafia romance, protective MMCs, quirky heroines, healing and couples who are absolutely adorable together…pick this one up!!!

Wicked Deception is my favorite listen of the year! It's got the perfect mix of humor, drama, and total sweetness. Narrators Aaron Shedlock and Allyson Voller absolutely brought this book to life. Their chemistry makes the slow-burn romance so swoon-worthy, and they nail the voices for Fallon’s hilarious group of friends. Bottom line: it’s a total binge-listen from start to finish!

Total Perfection!

Thank you BlueNose Audio for the ALC.

Giving Neurodivergent representation in a book makes me so happy! Allyson Voller and Aaron Shedlock did an amazing work bringing these characters to life. I really enjoyed the humorous corks that the FMC had, it brought light to the story, and how the MMC treated her was absolutely amazing. Loving her no matter what, taking her on, and seeing her as not-broken was so special. Bringing in how we are sometimes treated makes me happy because i dont think people see that side of Neurodivergent community. Combining all this in a Mafia Romance with all the tropes we know and love was perfection. However, there was one things that I didn’t like so much, the Pet names in the bedroom those particular names gave me the ick. Other than that i thought the story was great, i had a good time!
