Great isekai slice of life

I enjoyed this story. It fits the vibe of a slice of life, calm, training arc style story. There’s not a whole lot of life and death situations in this book, and I strongly disagree with one review that commented about child abuse. This story is about a grown adult reincarnating into a child’s body, and while his circumstances are not ideal for the typical child’s development, I do not think typical development can be applied in this case.

I do wish I could see more independent struggle from the MC rather than being carefully monitored and trained by others. Hopefully, this is just a prolonged introduction into a more action packed story.

Mostly temporizing and expounding

This book is similar to other Isekai genre fantasies; however, the absence of any backstory other than the MC reasoning that he got there by being hit by a plane was disappointing; especially since he made several vague references to his prior life. Deepseal14's writing style was well crafted, the pacing of the book was between snail and turtle slow. Through all 11+ hours, the MC had only reached 9 years of age and was sheltered from outside exposure until the very end.

I'm unsure if I'll continue the series.

Andrew Tell's performance was well done and was the only reason I finished the book.

Great engaging story

The speed of progression is my type of storytelling. Just the right balance of imagery, surprises, and detail that leaves the listener with interest and creating hypothetical scenarios.

Not bad

Overall not bad, not really feeling the Maine character, maybe just how bad his personality is.

If you like self a loathing MC, this is your book.

Maybe one day I will find this series again and just read the “about info” but even if that doesn’t happen I won’t be upset. I just hate this type of MC, if you’re into self loathing mixed with low self esteem with mommy issues then this is your book. It was written well, just not my flavor.
