Quincy has spent the last few months caring for her aging grandmother. When she finally decides to take a night for herself, she learns her boyfriend isn't all he's cracked up to be.

Quincy goes back to her life, picking up the pieces and staying busy by working at Hartley's family restaurant. It's certainly no hardship, considering her boss is a handsome former pro-quarterback. One of her regulars might rub everyone else the wrong way with his icy demeanor, but Quincy finds his honesty to be endearing.

Only, no matter how hard she searches, she can't find her protective one-night stand.

Little does she know, there are reasons he's been scrubbed from the internet. When one of those reasons shows up, Hart, Trigg, and Ridge must learn to put their differences aside to protect the very pregnant Quincy.

Otherwise, the consequences could prove to be disastrous.

With a Little Luck is told from first person multi-POV. It's a standalone set in the same world as No Escape and One Way Out. You don't need to have listened to those to enjoy With a Little Luck, but it will give you a fuller backstory on Ridge. There is no cheating, no choosing, and no cliffhanger.

Can be read as a stand-alone story, but best enjoyed if read after Whatever It Takes, No Escape, and One Way Out. Even better if you’ve read When She Needs Them Most, and Unexpected Delivery.

Quincy grew up in Florida but this kind hearted Omega moved to Vermont to support her grandmother who is failing after the death of her last packmate. She survived but doesn’t want to live without them. Quincy goes out for the evening thinking she’s going to surprise her boyfriend Pete, but finds him having sex with his assistant. Quincy stops to have a few drinks, tries to dodge some over insistent Alphas, and ends up having a one night stand with Ridge, who protected her. She leaves early after many texts and a call from grandmother’s nurse. Because she didn’t leave her contact info, Quincy couldn’t find Ridge after her grandmother died and she found out she’s pregnant.
Quincy has made it to 33 weeks when she finds out Hartley, her boss at the diner, wants to court her and Trigg, her diner customer, is revealed as a stalker/admirer who also wants to court her. But wait! Trigg works for Shadow Security and is currently tasked with helping to protect Ridge, so they reconnect. But 3 very different characters are willing to adjust to Pack Life as long as Quincy is their Omega.
This has one of the few ‘sex scenes’ that had me laughing when Trigg gets personal time with Quincy, but needs coaching from Hartley. Then there’s the ‘Thank You, now it’s time for breakfast.’ Trigg is scary funny.
Salinas and Daniels do a decent enough job of narration.
