AI isn’t evil. AI is easy. And easy has a way of winning — even when it shouldn’t. Human Is the New Vinyl is a soulful, surprising journey through the past and future of creativity, showing why flaws, grit, and the human voice still matter in an age of machine-made everything.

The next creative revolution is here. Will you be part of it?

Human Is the New Vinyl: Why Human Creativity Still Wins in the AI Revolution traces the arc from the printing press to generative AI and reveals how each wave of innovation reshapes what we create, how we connect, and what we decide is worth keeping. With stories, cultural insight, and sharp reflection, Micah Voraritskul makes the case that the human voice — with all its texture, imperfection, and spirit — is still the most powerful force we have.

You’ll Discover:

  • The Vinyl Paradox — why flaws, grit, and imperfection make art unforgettable
  • Creative Revolutions — the pivotal shifts from Gutenberg to GPT that changed how we create
  • The Differentiation Problem — how to stand out when machines can mimic your style in seconds
  • Tools vs. Meaning — what to embrace, adapt, or resist to keep your work truly human

This Book Is For:

  • Creators who refuse to be replaced
  • Educators shaping the next generation
  • Technologists building the tools of tomorrow
  • Anyone asking: What do we stand to lose in the age of machine-made everything?

If you’re still listening, you already know. You’re not alone. This is the sound of something real — rising again.

I loved “Human Is the New Vinyl” as it unlocks the whole of the AI issue and invites me into the ongoing processes of engaging this new world where AI can’t be put back in a box, rather faced squarely and considered deeply as a breakthrough tool like Gutenberg’s printing press, the computer, IT, or the pixel. As ChatGPT first emerged, I explored it with great interest and a lot of admitted trepidation. So in the nearly 5 years since in its burgeoning development and AI in general. I’ve avoided it. Of course, just doing a google search it has become ubiquitous and I’m understanding- I must step ahead not away, and decide over and over, what I think of this new world where AI can’t be stopped, but must be managed and harnessed for the good of Humanity. So I’m immensely grateful for this book for helping me go forward - as a boomer who was in university when Bill Gates Stephen Jobs left their respective institutions to open up the future for us all.

Bottom Line: Humanity Still Counts
