The Supreme Court warned us

The Supreme Court warned us: “the prestige of the Government.” Not honor—undue influence. The illusion that government is right… because it is government. That prestige lets officials dodge questions, avoid proof, and hide their lack of authority. And it becomes a weapon—used to injure, intimidate, prosecute, and imprison. It happened to me. It happened to Orlando Carter. It happens at every level—even city inspectors enforcing rules that don’t exist. But when the curtain falls, we finally see what’s behind it. In Spanish there’s a word: payaso. A clown. And that’s all these officials are without the prestige we were conditioned to believe in. Stop applauding the act. That’s when self-government begins again.
