Same thing over and over

I am stopping with this story. Every single development is exactly the same. I started book 9 and it's all the same thing. Bad guy is foiled, can't believe it, dose it again.

This dude just lets all of his enemies go and I’m SO disappointed!! Fuck this series. I feel so sorry for his children because he racks up mortal enemies for life and never kills any of them! His kids won’t last till adulthood
