Worth the read

It took me a minute to write this review because this is a very good book… but it still feels like something small was missing for me.
That said, it’s still a solid story with likable characters and an enjoyable read overall. The writing kept me engaged, and I cared enough about the characters to keep turning the pages.
It’s not my favorite in the series though — nothing can beat Santiago for me. That man set the bar way too high. Still, this book was definitely worth the read.

Hard

This is really hard to listen to. The lead female loses everything and truthfully the alliance was too late every time. I’m not a fan of the book. I read it because it’s a part of the series, but it’s a lot.

A Greek mafia donna

I love that there’s a female mafia head, and the fact that she’s Greek is almost too funny. Everybody loves a bodyguard love story and this fits the bill. As is her norm, Michelle Heard gave this lots of great spice. She’s still one of my top authors, regardless of how many more come on the scene!

Action Packed

Action packed. Loved the book and really enjoyed a female leadership. She held her own under all the stress that was coming at her.
