Of course, nothing can ever be simple for too long with Felix and Lane around. When Grayson–a man I used to work with–calls, everything is thrown out of control. I’d been willing to give him my heart once, but after my world was shattered by outside forces, I’m not sure there’s any heart left to give. But life for someone like me doesn’t stay quiet… though maybe quiet isn’t what I need. Maybe someone to pull me out of my past and push me toward our future is who I’ve been waiting for all along.

I’m determined to clean up the past and make Cal’s life better, even if he has no idea what I’m doing… even if he’s determined to never speak to me again. Yet when events lead us together, I can’t stop myself from being overwhelmingly happy to be in his presence again. He might believe that he’s a bad guy, but I see him for the amazing, kind, and funny person he is. But first we have to end the past that’s been haunting both of us once and for all. Thankfully, he’s going to be right by my side as we do it.

But why did the pig have to come along?

I LOVE this Series

I was so excited for Cal book. So happy it finally arrived and audio too. It was heartbreaking but had all the laughs. Loved all original characters. Amazing narrator

Needs more than 5 stars!

Joel Leslie does a great job with this cast of characters and the story is Alice at her best-Lane, Felix, Cal, and Sir Oinksalot bring zany humor to another adventure! So good I cannot wait to listen again

It's been too long!

This is my favorite series by Alice Winters, and I was shocked to see this come out! I thought it was done after so long without a sequel. I am so happy to be back with these characters, and they didn't disappoint. Felix is as crazy as ever, and yes poor Lane! That pig is a great addition. I am in awe of how Alice Winters can make me laugh, and then make me cry. Poor Cal. I would love to have more books in this series, it's too good. And Joel Leslie is still amazing. Love that guy.

A Wild & Fun Ride!

This third book in the series is uber entertaining!

The recurring characters, the main characters, the animals, the crazy, grumpy, loving characters…they are all just so much fun! I laughed out loud plenty! Dang, that Felix! He’s so over-the-top…but still he inspires the rest of the gang to be on point with the hilarity…🤣

Oh…yeah…there’s also plenty of bad guys, gun play, car chases, etc., with just the right amount of angst to keep you listening…and a bit of steam…can’t forget to mention the steam…albeit at the very end.😉

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Of course, Joel Leslie was BORN to be a narrator! He’s a superb entertainer all on his own…and you never have to guess who’s who during the story. The Alice/Joel combo is still magic! I cannot wait for the next installment!

Great story

I've been waiting for this for so long and it did not disappoint. Joel's narration is amazing with this series and I loved knowing Cal's story and how it all developed until the present. I love this series SO much ❤️

Worth 6 years of waiting

First, Joel is Phenomenal. As he always is.
I love this series so much.
I also miss Lane and Felix like crazy, and finally!
This book is about Cal. You have to at least listen to the previous book to understand this one better.
Cal is lovely and kind of naive (?) and he is a good boy of Felix (laugh).
This gang will make you laugh so hard (and cry some times), and you will love them.
Oh, and poor...poor Lane (hahaha)

Meh…

I realize I’m in the minority here. But, this was my least favorite in the series. Didn’t enjoy Cam and Grayson as much as Felix and Lane. Who are not in this that much. Especially Lane was notably absent and when he was, in the story, he came off as pretty weak. Disappointed with this installment overall.
