Dungeon explorers! Pirate thwarters! Wedding guests? More adventures await Broccoli Bunch and friends in the seventh book of this cozy fantasy adventure.

Broccoli and the crew of the Beaver Cleaver airship are traveling to Port Royal to attend a wedding unlike any other. Their dear friend Booksie is engaged to Rhawrexdee, and their union will be the first ever between a bun and a dragon. All Broccoli needs to do is find the perfect gift for the couple—and ensure the safety of the bride and groom.

Because Rainnewt, the shapeshifting Riftwalker and longtime thorn in Broccoli's side, has escaped imprisonment and is up to his old tricks, wreaking havoc through manipulation and deceit. But is even he bold enough to risk tempting the wrath of dragons?

Now, Broccoli must race across the continent—from the far northern reaches of the Snowlands and down to Deepmarsh—if she wants to make it to the wedding in time. If only they're weren't so many interesting distractions along the way . . . With intricate plots to uncover, pirates to foil, races to win, and new friends to make, there's more than one way for the crew to get off track.

But it's not all fun and games. Tensions are still rising across Dirt, and old prejudices don't die easily. Will Booksie and Rhawrexdee's ceremony bring diverse cultures together in happiness and harmony? Or will wedding crashers incite a war, leaving Broccoli holding a funeral wreath instead of a bouquet?

The seventh volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than nine million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

hits all the right story notes that you would expect, fewer litRPG elements since the characters are six books worth of established so far, but there's a light sprinkling just to remind the reader that this book is still a litRPG

The story is great, the characters are engaging, and the voice actor is fantastic

alarmingly adorable

You can tell that the author has kind of lost the direction a bit and so has the reader. They're adding on to it without having enjoyed the existing fiction recently enough to really remember what it's about.

The reader really puts her heart into it, however she's using different voices for some of the characters than she did in previous books in the series. The dragon is a prime example.

Abraham Bristolcone is a character I have really enjoyed previously, in this new story, he seems like a significantly different person. Previously he was one of these larger-than-life characters that was too much for most people to handle, and not easily perturbed; gently obnoxious. Apparently now he's just a good listener? He used to be able to fight off a bevy of guards with nothing but a spoon, now he can't even win a race.

It's a good book, but in my opinion it's not up to its previous level. It's more like fan fiction than a canonical continuation at this point.

It's still a good story, and still worth the listen, but unless the author and reader review their old work in the near future, this series is basically over.

I was hoping Cinnamon Bun would turn into another super long series like Discworld where it just keeps getting better; extremely unlikely given the current trajectory.

slipping a bit

I was just getting into the primary story... then it ended randomly out of nowhere!

Still loving the series, just one star down for not giving us a real conclusion for this book

Agh what the heck was with that ending

I have grown to love Broccoli. It took a while, she was really quite annoying in the first volume or so but, she really does grow on you. And I'm really happy that she got some much needed character development in this volume. And Awen too for that matter.

I enjoyed all the shenanigans in this book- there were many! but it felt more like a filler book of (fun) side quests instead of actually progressing the plot. Which was a little disappointing, but the end seems to have set up for something pretty big in the next volume and I can't wait.

As always- Reba Buhr is a delightful narrator that does an exceptional job of bringing this story and its characters to life.

Broccoli and her bunch

I think it might be time to let this series go. It was cute and interesting for the first several books, but the last three have been aimless and uninteresting. I feel like the author is having a lot more fun writing about magical girls and such, and this series is just being written on autopilot with no real planning or energy put into it.

Also, that ending was just mean. I'm not sure this is a good series for dramatic negative cliffhanger endings.

Time to Let it Go?
