Zero spice

The book was ok, but she has changed the way she writes and honestly I’m so disappointed. There is zero spice, literally zero. Just a couple of kisses. And I feel like if an author is going to do a drastic 180 with the way they write, they should maybe give their loyal readers a heads up. I guess I won’t be reading any more of her books, which is a bummer because I love all her other books.

this was actually really lovely

at first, I wasn't really into it. BUT, then the characters really grew on me and the story turned into something great. the narrator did a great job as well. *mild spoiler* there is also a really serious point later in the story, and I feel like the author did a great job making thay have impact.

I adored this story! It had all my favs....snarky horses and dragons, Magi and zombies! Talon teaches the first year mages and his technique while flawless is .....questionable. This is the perfect quest mythos and I am here for it. I wish there was a book two with all the favorite characters-hugs included. I couldn't wait for the end, and I also didn't want it to end. IYKYK. M Lesley does a wonderful job making all the characters different and identifiable-even a sentient rock! If this genre is your jam, you will love this book. KUDOS to author and narrator.

I need more

I had this paused with 1 hr left for over a week because I was so mad it was about to finish. I wanted it to go forever...! I wanted more adventures and more of the crew traveling together. I want more of these characters interacting and bonding..(about 10 full books mire...is that an option?) So wonderful!
