In the eternal darkness of the moon, something is calling.

When NASA's Sentinel I satellite detects an impossible reflection and a mysterious signal from Shackleton Crater, the world is thrown into chaos. The discovery points to one chilling truth: an alien artifact lies hidden beneath the lunar surface—and it wants to be found. As China scrambles to exploit the revelation, a new moon race ignites, pushing humanity to the brink.

Thrust into the center of the storm, NASA astronaut Charlie Reid must navigate a volatile mission where science, survival, and military might collide. With the fate of humanity hanging in the balance, the question remains: what will they find—and will we survive it?

The race for the future has begun. And the prize may cost us everything.

I couldn't stop listening to this book. The story grabbed me and demanded my attention--the most enjoyable storyline was filled with a cast of interesting, believable characters. The narration was terrific--very compelling. The science was interesting and was woven skillfully into a dynamic, fast-paced plot.
I strongly recommend this most entertaining book--it's a must for sci-fi fans!

As an audiobook, it was difficult to put down. The two story lines were both riveting. Of all the good and bad in humans, we can hope that peace and good will should prevail.

A great experience.

I enjoyed this novel very much. The science was reasonable, most of the characters were well fleshed out.

Timely story with what I hope is a glimpse into the future.

i couldn't finish this. The dialogue and story line are written at a high school level. The end for me was the repetitive notion that the US military is filled with horrible criminals and the misunderstood Chinese are noble and righteous. As every character in this book asks at least 3 times - "Do you think I'm stupid?"

Another juvenile story about the criminal US military.
