good read

I loved Mimi and Jojo's love story. I highly recommend for a good read. I would read another book from this author.

Story too short!!

I love the storyline but I feel like it should have had a better ending. Like who was behind the kidnapping, who killed the cousin, and why they didn't handle her ex-boyfriend. My personal opinion. 💕

D4L for Yummi and Jojo

You know you're about to experience something epic with another person when y'all give each other unique nicknames. Miyori and Johari been nicknamed Mimi and Juelz for everyone for years. But all it took was one impromptu date night over Chinese food and drinks and these two renamed each other Yummi and Jojo with their own inside jokes and practically their own lil language, with how good they were able to read each other so quickly.

While all the cute lovey-dovey stuff between Miyori and Johari was developing strong, their somewhat unknown interconnected pasts were causing all kinds of problems. Big facts that Johari's way of handling these issues may have been a bit sneaky and self serving, but this man stood full chested, ten toes down and weapon stay cocked for anyone and anything that threatened Miyori, even family. And family was both separately and jointly their biggest issues.

This is definitely the read for you if you love a thug on grown man things, with a redemption arc and legit businesses building a stable future. Especially, when he's been blessed with further incentive to stay legal because of an intelligent and supportive woman on her own healing journey from toxic romantic relationships and for the first time is being loved right (in alllll the ways too #iykyk).

I liked the storyline

I liked how everyone was interwoven. I didn’t like how the story went back and forth and how things were recounted by that character. The story was hard to follow. I didn’t want to finish but I’m going to.
