Another amazing mafia romance duet!

Widowed Brie "Breezy" Colombo teams up with a reluctant Dominika "Nik" Kusek to try and solve her husband's murder. Nik is tasked to be Brie's bodyguard as they dodge hit men, play in mafia politics, and look for any clues that could lead them to a killer.

There was action, mystery, loyalty, betrayal, passion, lots of steam... it was all around awesome! I breezed through both books in one day!

Amidst all of the spicy revelry, is a really great story!

Is there a sequel? Yet? If not, I am definitely expecting one. There’s a perfect set-up at the end and well, I need that next story to know that our main characters are truly going to be OK! Even minor characters are well written, leaving plenty of room to explore their back stories, The narration is outstanding with clear and distinct voices, includiing excellent acting skills that it’s difficult to notice, because they are so good. The storyline is clever and constantly surprising, but believable. And the author does what she does so well in this book. Highly recommended.

I’m a big fan of Brie and Nic! This book did not disappoint. I love how Brie is growing into her role. The narrators were great, the story engaging, and the relationship sweet. I would love to see more of this amazing couple.

There was so much going on in this story that I got dizzy a couple of times. You are a devil, Persephone. If anyone reads my review, you won't even have to guess if I like PB. That does not stand for Peanut Butter, something that sticks to the roof of your mouth. It stands for Persephone Black who sticks to the, oh never mind. Loved it! Buy it!
