Great listen but…

I loved the story but the male narrator annoyed me. His female voices made me cringe. Just horrible. I loved the female narrators male and female voices. The twists and turns in this series are giving me whip flash. Just crazy. Can’t wait to start book 3. I need answers.

This series keeps getting better!

The character’s, the story and the narration are all 10/10. I need book three yesterday!!

Epic fantasy for the culture!

This series really brings the concept of a magical HBCU to life from the Atlanta setting to the representation of different ways blackness shows up in communities. The black experience is not a monolith and I love how this book showcases that. Also just the right amount of sec and debauchery balanced against great story telling and world building. Absolutely LOVE this series

Every time I think it can’t get any better, IT DOES!!
This book has everything I’m looking for. From representation to thickening plot to even to an unexpected romance. I simply need more lol

sci-fi but better

big pot. big personalities. great use of sci-fi lure. a wonderful mix of spiciness, humor and overall a very interesting story. the characters have me!
