Dirk Pitt is caught up in a dangerous and thrilling mystery on the murky waters of the Black Sea . . .

As Director of the National Underwater and Marine Agency, Dirk Pitt has always had a knack for finding trouble. This time, though, trouble has found him . . .

On a NUMA mission to the Black Sea to locate the wreck of a lost Ottoman Empire ship, Pitt and his friend Al Giordino respond to an urgent Mayday from a nearby freighter. By the time they reach the ship there's no one left alive - just dead bodies and the smell of sulphur in the air. When a massive blast from the stern suddenly scuttles the ship, Pitt and Giordino are lucky not to be added to the death toll.

As they investigate the fate of the lost ship, they're plunged deep into an extraordinary mystery. And when connections emerge between a desperate attempt in 1917 to preserve the wealth and power of the Romanov empire, a Cold War bomber lost with a deadly cargo, modern-day nuclear smugglers and a brilliant engineer developing cutting-edge drone technology, Pitt is faced with the most dangerous challenge of his career. One that will threaten the lives of his family and friends.

Packed with breathtaking suspense, switchback plotting and remarkable imagination, Odessa Sea proves once again that, when it comes to adventure, Clive Cussler is in a league of his own.

I enjoyed the dual arc of the stories with Dirk and Al leading one and Jr and Summer on the other. The usual rollicking good time of a Dirk Pitt novel, with Scott Brick is a perfect narrator.

I've been a longtime fan of Clive Cussler. I am glad the story continues

\Odessa Sea delivers everything I love about the Dirk Pitt series — fast-paced action, historical intrigue, and clever twists. The audiobook narration by Scott Brick is top-notch, bringing Pitt and Giordino’s banter and bravery to life.

This installment dives into a Cold War mystery with Romanov ties, drone tech, and underwater danger. It’s gripping from the first chapter and keeps the tension high without losing the charm and wit that make the series so fun.

If you’re a longtime fan or just diving in, Odessa Sea is a thrilling ride that doesn’t disappoint.

Narration by Scott brick is always always always the best in the industry. Unbelievable how his voice amongst many good ones helps me see the book while I listen. He is just exceptional

All the various storylines finally came together in an outstanding finish! Classic Cussler!

Author Dirk does not have daddy’s skill set. About five different storylines, which Clive could have artistically woven, instead, Dirk Cussler seems to merely toss the ideas in a blender and give us a random series of thoughts. Very disappointing. Scott Brick is the only thing that allowed me to continue to listen.

Narrator saved the day with amazing performance. Storyline was a complete crap show.
