Checkered Hearts: An F1 Love Story

Racing to Romance, Book 1

De: A. G. Starling

Narrado por: Charlotte Claremont, Anthony Palmini

Things heat up both on and off the track in this enemies-to-lovers romance set in the high-octane world of Formula One racing.

Rocco Vittori is desperate for a win. With nearly as many pileups on the track as in his personal life, his formerly illustrious F1 career is in a total spinout. But a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the lead driver on the new Maverick racing team could be the answer to all his problems. He's willing to go full throttle every second of the day to prove he deserves it more than anyone. Unfortunately, someone else on the team has her sights set on the same job, and she's determined to drive Rocco crazy.

After leveling up from Formula Three, Nico Angelini knows she's got just one shot to show the world she's as qualified as any man on the circuit. Being the only female driver in the highest class of international racing puts a target on her back, and the fact that she'll not only be racing against but forced into comradery with her one-time online nemesis raises the stakes. An ongoing rivalry with a sexy, arrogant teammate is the sort of distraction she can't afford.

Fueled by competition and an attraction that grows stronger with every lap, Rocco and Nico are off to a bumpy start. If they can't get a grip on their emotions, they're both going to crash and burn this season. But finding common ground could cause a different sort of spark to ignite, and their romance might prove too hot to handle . . .

Reseñas de la Crítica

“A smart, sexy, and spirited love story that’s unafraid to embrace both grit and glamor.”—Kirkus Reviews

“A can’t-miss for sports romance fans.” —People

Definitely loved it!

I enjoyed the entire book, and I am eagerly waiting for the next one! I enjoyed the enemies to lovers (its my favorite trope) and the formula one aspect made it extra special (huge f1 fan here). Both main characters are f1 drivers and I loved every second of their banter! I loved the characters, Nico was so baddie that's right slay queen. And Rocco I liked his character but his attitude at the end was not it for me. I really hated how we didn't get enough of them!!! Give me more I need more Nico and Rocco please!!

The narrators for this alc were absolutely brilliant! Amazing job, Charlotte and Anthony!!

Recommend for race fans who like a little romance

Checkered Hearts is about two F1 racecar drivers who's rival started while chatting online. Soon life brings them together in an unexpected twist and they must work together in order to get what they both want. The forced proximity leads them to spending a lot of time together and soon they are experiencing feelings that neither one was expecting.

As a racing fan myself, I really enjoyed this book. It included interesting views and situations that actual drivers might experience during races and PR events. There was a lot of fun banter, but at times the conversation topics felt a little immature and didn't really add to the story which is why I didn't give it a full 5 stars. Overall, I'd highly recommend Checkered Hearts to my fellow race fans that enjoy a little romance.

Thank you to author A.G. Starling and Hambright PR for providing me with an ARC and ALC. I am leaving this review completely voluntarily and all thoughts are my own.

Spectacular 🏁

Within the first minute, I was hooked. I haven’t listened to the same audiobook multiple times, since ACOFAS . Each time I heard it I would hear some things that I’d missed. It is such a beautiful book. I absolutely love both narrators’ Italian accents 😍 and their ability to create all of those different voices and bring each character to life. Great content, there is depth to the main bunch of characters, and of course there are a couple of spicy scenes that will make you blush . I hope everyone gets to enjoy 🔥🔥🔥
