Story + Performance = Easy 5 stars

Pros: Great story. Narrator was fantastic. Spice was on point and necessary.

Con: I’m a little tired of seeing powerful female characters written to behave so densely to what’s happening around them. These characters would have known better. They wouldn’t have led with their emotions on every single thing. They didn’t need to be knocked down so many pegs for the next book.

I never get around to reviews but wow this book was all I wanted and more. The voice actress was perfection, such diverse and interesting characters, and a world I’m ready to know so much more about. The spice is SPICYYYY, wlw, and the bi representation ?!?! Ahh. The descriptors of thick thighs and brown skin warms my heart. I can’t stop making all my friends read it,

Great Sapphic Fantasy!

I really enjoyed listening to this book! It was a great fantasy! Princess Valda was a force to be reckoned. It was wonderful seeing her fall in love with Maris. I loved the energy between these two. Looking forward to book 2.

Spicy Sapphic worth the listen.

I enjoyed the story. It’s not very mysterious, but I stayed up late just to listen. Well described so it was easy to picture. Spicy scenes are well done and well performed.

Very nice Queer Romantasy

I liked it. Wasn’t my favorite but it was nice, not cheesy or anything. Slow kinda burn even though they’re soul mates so it was sweet.

A great listen

I really enjoyed this sapphic romantasy. It isn’t trope-y and took some unexpected turns. The weaving in of elements from Greco-Roman mythology is done well, too. I’m going to read the sequel immediately.
