Set in the desperate years of the Second Punic War, the series follows the exploits of Cretan archer Jace Kasia and Roman Legion Tribune Cornelius Scipio. One is a castaway searching for a home while the other seeks to step out of the shadow of a famous father.

On their journey from exile, the orphan and the descendant will need to come together to save a trapped Legion from total annihilation.

Producers must take control of the fluctuations in audio volume.

Most of us use ear buds to listen. Suddenly going from a low volume narration to a character shouting is uncomfortable. In this story there is a lot of shouting. Constantly adjusting the volume is a pain.

In addition there seems to be a mashing or truncation of words. I am constantly playing back sections to actually understand what is being said. After two books, I give up.
