Much better to listen then read

When I read this book, I had a really hard time getting into it.
The audio was much better . Amazing voice actors. Glad I gave the Audiobook a try even though I didn’t initially like the book .

The female narrator drove me insane - she made the FMC sound so whiny. It was the male narrator saved this from a DNF

Storyline had many predictable tropes but still enjoyed the story. I’m sure for those reading instead of listening might have a better experience. The female narrator’s inflection at the end of most sentences just made the FMC seem so whiny.

One of the best audiobooks of the year

I thought the book was good when reading it but hearing it in audio has really brought it to life and made the story so much more amazing.

Anthony and Stella did an absolutely fantastic job in this duet style narration. They nailed their performances as kingfisher and Saeris. If you’re on an ACOTAR/TOG hangover and need a new listen/read this audiobook needs to be on the top of your list.

Between the angst, the unique magic system, shadow daddy MMC and the strong FMC this story has everything you could want and more. And the spice 🌶️😮‍💨😍. This has become a new favorite audiobook.

The performance was amazing. The comedic timing was perfect.

Love the balance of dark and light. The female protagonist was not annoying. I eager for the next installment

Love the quirky banter

One of the best Romantasy’s I’ve read in a while and I read at least one a week! It seems like recently a lot of books have whiny immature FMC. So it was refreshing to finally read one with a smart strong FMC. I loved how she had the morally gray MC have quick whit banter. I never leave reviews but felt like this was a 5 star must read. And wanted to share my thoughts for anyone in a reading slump and ready to read a great Romantasy!!
