It’s good if you like this genre of books 

If you like the first book, this is more of that. Good narration. Unique ability system and setting. Lots of action fighting monsters and cold blooded murder between people. Genre specific standard range of characters but worth the credit

A good 2nd book!!

I think I liked this one better than the first one. The interactions with the second planets inhabitants was pretty funny. I could see the fight scenes play in my head as they were read. The fact that they are still alive is great especially since they’ve all had to fight tooth and nail to survive. I can’t wait to see where this goes!

the fact he didn't think of the changes

I loved the story.mild spoilers don't read if you don't want to know.but the fact when stuff started changing he didn't think to stop and wonder about the consequences of his actions. my number one example is that map he made. yes he distributed it for the greater good but why put something that powerful out in the world that anyone could use. even the bad guys. also bro didn't want to tell anyone anything because he fears the changes it might cause. but that map would invalidate all that. because people would do things that they didn't in the first time line. and that prolog got me messed up. I had a feeling because the way the sisters acted(if you know you know) didn't make sense. ass she was breaking mind control all the other kids knew what they were forced to do. but the one sister didn't react? I was like wtf something wrong especially when the older one was begging. I don't know if it's because I have siblings but it reminded me when you get caught covering for one and the consequences are more than you bargained for and you beg the to tell your parents the truth. I'm just saying can't wait for book 3 but when they find out the killed the wrong sis shit is going to be sad

another great installment

this one was great. lots of action, fast paced, amazing performance by JTJ and the rest of the SBT crew. the story is great, and cant wait for the next one. way to knock it out of the park, yall.

this is just a dam good book and series. it will really make you feel think and embrace the world.

Talk about character growth

The banter in this book and the development of the characters was great. I am thoroughly enjoying this story, and looking forward to more.

just as fun, entertaining and interesting as the first one.
great plot, lore and characters that i can't wait to hear more about.

SBT are as always masters of the multiple narrators and the quality and smoothness of the transitions are stellar.
however a few chapters are cut off a little short which lowers the ranking, once that's fixed this is 5 stars no doubt

The Party Grows and the Story Expands!

I wasn't sure if I was going to continue after the first book but book 2 more than makes up for it. The first book felt a little too mono chromatic but in retrospect it was just laying out the ground work for world and its systems. Here the characters expand and the story grows to a full spectrum now that the rules have been laid out and Oster takes full advantage of it.

Nate and company are brought to life in grand detail thanks to the full cast at SBT giving a real feel to the different characters and their eclectic personalities. James also brings a rare level of drama to the position of narrator even in the simple transitions of the chapters while upbeat or foreboding tones to help with foreshadowing.

I really enjoy that the main character here isn't just magically OP compared to so many books in recent memory as well. It really helps with character development.

Great book, looking forward to the Third!

Excellent sequel

I loved the character progression. The world building was great. I enjoyed seeing another world in this book which was developed really well in a short time. The story was engaging and I’m excited for the next book. The epilogue alluded to the Team Rocket trope which I hope doesn’t become too much of a thing. The narration was top notch. I love when multiple narrators are used.

a hypocrite of a protagonist

I'm really trying to enjoy the story but it just seems like the group of people we are supposed to be siding with are okay with shrugging off mass murder.

Some of the worst things imaginable are done with the best intentions. Saving the human race at the cost of their humanity. I have to keep stop listening because it actually angers me of the stupidity of their reasoning.
