Daily Treat

I love Winter's tenacity. She is undoubtedly fierce, at least on the outside. On the inside, she's a wreck, and I like how insightful Roman is in recognizing it, and while he's protective I love that he lets her find her way in her new home.

Unlike most other women that are claimed by the MCs, Winter (and her sister) is in her 30s instead of barely legal. I like that fact a lot. She sometimes has the emotional maturity of a woman in her late teens, early 20s, but it's endearing and not surprising given her history.

Iris, from book 1, "Sting,' does an awesome job of injecting herself into Club life. It's hilarious when she makes it clear as to what's expected when it comes to how her and the other women will be treated.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator, Umi Markkanen, is really enjoyable to listen to as always.

Seeing through the scars.

Winter and Roman both have things in their past that they have to deal with. Winter and her twin sister were betrayed in the worse way by the people they should have been loved by and trusted the most, their parents. Winter is tired of being seen as a victims and wants a fresh start for them both so she decided to be brave. I love how Roman was fiercely loyal, protective and loving to Winter even before he realizes what she means to him. This audio was a great quick listen and I can't wait to start the next one!

Love it

Roman and Winter are an unusual match, but so perfect. Winter has been through a lot and Roman doesn't know how to handle that at first, but it is great to see them come together. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and I look forward to listening to more in this series.

We meet Winter and her sister, two incredible survivors who have been through the absolute unthinkable. This leads them to a cheeky (and slightly desperate!) move: stowing away on the truck of a member of the Iron Tzars MC. 🚛💨

Enter Roman. He’s the enforcer for his club, which means he’s all about violence and duty—until he meets Winter. 🛡️💪 Even though he sees her scars and her fragile exterior, he quickly realizes there is a core of pure iron inside her. Watching Roman navigate his feelings and transform into the ultimate protector was just... chef’s kiss. 👨‍🍳💋

Narrator Spotlight: Umi Markkanen absolutely crushed this narration! 🎤✨ They brought so much life and emotion to Winter’s vulnerability and Roman’s gravelly, Alpha energy. It made the listening experience so much more immersive!

Winter and Roman

Another excellent story by Marteeka. I have come to really enjoy her writing. The characters are relatable. I can identify with Roman and Winter, as if they were real people. The MC characters are always tough as nail, but have an inner kindness not seen in most people. The narration was well done. A pleasure to listen to. I received a free copy of this audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
