2nd part of my finished review

I read or listen to a book a day, or at least E/O day. I have only had 1 other book emotionally effect me this deep. I could not finish that one because it involved a death of a child. This one I had to take breaks to reflect why I was so triggered.
Being held prisoner in a relationship you feel obligated and trauma bonded too is devastating on every level. 💔 😢 😔
I'm very happy to see we are going to get the rest in May, abd hopefully there will be some healing for everyone who's left.
When this story started in the Book The Words, I was extremely triggered when their characters were first introduced. Even though it was brief, it was deep. and way too familiar for some of us.

It was a really good story.. you just cant help but feel for these characters and fall in love with some and others not so much.

Though I loved the over all story and character development, I saw it coming a mile away...
I guess I just hate how emotionally weak the FMC is and it kinda pisses me off. But I can also see how both Memphis and Sky would fall for Josh's shenanigans, but it's so obvious he is a user and it's so clear how manipulative and narcissistic he is. it kinda hits home since I had a ex who kept me around by making similar threats, until the fog cleared and I saw he, like Josh, are too selfish to just end themselves without taking everyone down too.

I am a fan if The Words so I listened to this one. I know these characters in the future. To get the foundation and background of their troubled childhood was upsetting. I want to know there is a haply ending after the Words.

Heartbreaking and amazing!

Narration was perfect. Cliffhanger left me…hanging. I cannot wait for the 2nd book to be released. Love the characters, very well written. This is one where they get inside your soul, leaving you hanging on every word and emotion.
