Good book

I loved the story, but way way to many I love yous at the end.

Narration kind of ruined it for me

I like the story, I like the characters and the way they met and fell in love. What I did not like is the way the narrator could not/or did not reflect the emotions of the characters. All she did really was read out loud…

All of Scarlett Scott’s books are great stories! Fun storyline and characters with a good pace.

Whew, anyone got a cigarette? 😄

I don’t smoke of course but I’m reminded of old movies where the man always gets a cigarette after sex. The heat in this book could start a fire 🔥, it is downright inspiring!

I’m in agreement with other reviewers about the performances. Mr. Channing was excellent but this isn’t the venue for Ms.Beresford’s lilting voice. Also, is it an engineering issue, or is Ms. Beresford just a slow speaker?

Great….

But… female performer just so so….male performer was excellent! Issy’s wardrobe is perfection!! The artichoke is sublime…..

Repetitive

Good story and pace but drawn out and repetitive as if a word requirement is trying to be met.
The female narrator sounded too stoic during the male parts, no emotion.

I hate whinny stupid females

Silly dumb females are boring. The first book was so much better. Truer to the nature of the characters. He should have dumped her What an idiot that she continues to be an idiot
