Love the start to the new series!

Scored is the first book in the V-Card Diaries Novel by the fantastic Lili Valente. I'm a huge fan of Lili's and I know when I pick up or listen to one of her books I'm going to be entertained from start to end. Scored is a brother's best friend romcom that had me laughing out loud and totally swooning over Ian. Evie has known Ian since she was a little girl and always had a crush on him, but now they are older and she needs his help. It's time to get rid of her v-card and Ian is just the man for the job. Who cares if her brother would kill them if he found out. But they just don't care. It's more than just lust. And it's pretty clear neither of them just want one night. I had the pleasure of listening to Lili and Jason Clarke narrate this great story and I love them together! They are both sexy, sweet and fun and they brought their A game to Ian and Evie!

Fun and flirty romcom with humor and heat

What a fun and amazing listen from Lili Valente! Scored was such a treat to listen to. We have a bevvy of tropes here - forbidden love, best friend's little sister, friends to lovers, virgin - in such a sweetly romantic and swoony romance.

Evie and her group of friends are not experienced in the world of love. When they enlist her brother's best friend, professional hockey player Ian, to give them lessons, things quickly get steamy when both Evie and Ian finally allow the feelings they've been trying to deny out of the bag. Ian is protective, but we realize quickly that it's out of true affection and not some misguided notion that Evie doesn't know what's best for herself. He's thoughtful, he's romantic, and he wants Evie to have all of the best that she can have.

Narration is two of my absolute FAVORITES - Jason Clarke and Lili Valente. They were simply perfect for these parts. Jason has a voice that is heartwarming, hot and panty melting all at the same time - he's perfect for this role. And Lili captures all of Evie's nervousness, her determination, her emotion. I loved it.

Great series starter

This book was so much more than I thought it would be, Lili brought her a game here. I loved how quirky, lovable and just great all characters were. Full of banter, sexual tension, great hockey scenes and amazing friends/family, Lili turned the worn-out tropes virgin girl and brothers best friend a new life.

Evie lives with 3 more friends who are all eccentric in their own way and they happened to be all virgins. When they all ask for Ian, her brother’s Derrick best friend, a famous hockey player and her all time crush, for seduction lessons, things spiral out of control.

Ian always saw her as his best friend little sister, like family, but now she’s everywhere! She’s now working as an art therapist with his flawed hockey teammates, at Ice Possums (yeah, this name is just cringe), and suddenly he is seeing her for the woman she is, damned the overalls and paint on her face.

I loved their friendship and how she was the one to push him to take her v-card. From the moment they let it go, he was a 100% in their relationship, like forever “in”, even considering staying at his toxic hockey team, just to be with her. Then there was Derrick and for all his issues, I wish I had a brother like him, one who truly cares. Evie is lucky to have him as one and so many good friends. And I honestly can’t wait for his book. A great start of series from Lili.

Ian and Evie

Scored is a swooney, sexy, sweet and fun listen/read. Evie has been hired by NHL hockey team to help boost their morale and resolve underlying anger issues with art therapy. Her brother Derrick in upper management of the hockey franchise and his childhood best friend Ian the captain of the team.
While working with the unruly players Evie reconnects with Ian as he tries to keep his team mates in line.
Derrick is very protective of Evie, they grew up without their Mom and their father was rough and neglectful. So when Evie and her roommates turn to Ian to give them love lessons, Ian is very concerned with Derrick’s reaction, especially knowing that there are feelings between him and Evie.
Will the love lessons work? Will the hockey team get in line? Is Derrick going to overreact? Are Evie and Ian destined to live HEA? Find out by picking up your very own copy of Scored - you are going to love it!!!

I loved this so much!!

This book grabbed me right from the beginning. Ian was just so swoony and when he and Evie were together it was just perfect! Scored follows Evie, who is leading a one-week art therapy class for an NHL hockey team and Ian who happens to be one of the players in her class. Evie and her closest BBFs are all still hanging on to their V-Cards. One night Evie takes matters into her own hands and decides that Ian is just the man to help her out. Ian just happens to be Evie’s brother’s best friend and she has had a crush on him for ages. This is everything a brother’s best friend story should be. Sweet, funny and super hot!

Lili Valente and Jason Clarke are just so good and I really enjoyed listening to them in this book! So perfect for Evie and Ian.

MUST READ MASTERPIECE!!

Absolutely Loved This One! Sweet Steamy And A Perfect HEA!! Narration Was Spot On Perfect!!

Evie & Ian are one hot couple...I mean Evie is such a bad A$$ who knows what she wants and is tired of not asking for it.
Ian is a sweet, tough hockey hottie who adores Evie. The only catch is Ian is Evie's brothers BFF and that can be a bit tricky.
Gawww when these two finally figure their stuff out its super hot and heavy.
I am in love with these narrators...Lili always brings the story to life as does the sexy voice of Jason Clarke...I could listen to these two for days!!!!!

An Entertaining Sports Rom-Com!

Lili Valente's V-Card Diaries Series is off to a fantastic start! I adored Ian and Evie’s fun, flirty and sexy story so much! This is a sports rom-com and brothers best friend romance that I devoured from start to finish.

Evie is at a place where she is making a plan to take charge of her own life. She is tired of being called “cute Little Evie” she wants her brother to stop being so over protective and over bearing with her. Even though she is almost 24 years old she still has her v-card intact and is ready to loose it with the right man. When her brothers best friend becomes single she propositions him as she cannot think of anyone she trusts more him.

Ian is a professional hockey player and best friends with Evie’s brother Derrick. After ending things with his long time girlfriend and hearing Evie’s proposition he is considering it but is afraid of what it will mean for his friendship with Derrick.

I loved Evie and her quirkiness. She is bold and boisterous at times and shy and timid in other times but determined and I loved that about her. She has taken a temporary job working with the hockey players during their off season on art therapy in efforts to help build a more cohesive team. I really loved this concept. It is different and unique and nothing like I have read before.

Ian is a sweet and attentive guy. The more time he spends with this new version of Evie the more attracted he becomes and his heart is growing for her and what they have together. Not only do they have super steamy chemistry, their laugh out loud banter was fantastic!

Jason Clarke and Lili Valente bring these characters to life flawlessly, their voices are entertaining, sexy and sweet and I throughly enjoyed this story leaving me with all the heartwarming feels. I am looking forward to Harlow and Derrick’s story next.

Great Start to a New Series.

What can I say? I absolutely loved this story. I'm always so excited when Lili Valente starts a new series because I know I am in for a fantastic treat. Lili's books always contain a cast of very unique characters who are quirky, funny, and at times awkward, but they are also fiery, sexy, and hot.

Scored is the first book in the V-Card Diaries Series. It is a best friend's little sister, sports, virgin romance that caught my attention from the very beginning. Ian Fox is the captain of the NY Ice Possum Hockey Team - a team that is known for being hot heads in the ice field and whose team morale appears to be dwindling more everyday. In order to try and bring team morale up and change their image some the team is required to attend art therapy sessions with Evie Olsen who is Ian's best friend Derrick's little sister. This, of course, leads to a series of funny and heartwarming moments as young Evie stands her ground in front of a group of broody, ruthless hockey player who are not used to opening up and sharing their feelings, especially with ART. It also brings Evie and Ian closer together, especially when Ian somehow ends up playing a different type of therapist to Evie's group of friends - all virgins who are trying to figure out their way in the dating world.

I listened to the audiobook which is narrated by the amazing Lili Valente herself and by the always fantastic Jason Clarke. Lili and Jason are definitely one of my favorite pair of narrators to listen to. Their talent is limitless. It doesn't matter how many times I listen to them - each time I experience them differently. They bring so much passion into their characters, bringing so much emotion and joy.

I can't wait for the next in the series.

Fun and full of heart and humor

With fun and quirky characters full of heart and her trademark humor, Lili Valente dishes up another fantastic romcom in Scored. Evie is the naïve virgin who has just broken up with her boyfriend when she decided to ask her brother’s best friend, Ian, for romance lessons. As they spend more time together, both realize that there are hidden feelings beneath the surface, but when life choices get in the way, will their newfound chemistry survive?

Both Evie and Ian were delightful. Evie is full of sass and spunk and just trying to find her way in the world. Ian is is also struggling with his future on his hockey team, but he always makes time to support Evie. Their banter was witty and light while their chemistry was downright fiery.

The audio was perfection. Jason Clarke as Ian was absolutely yummy and I always love Lili Valente’s personification of her characters.

Full of moments that will make you laugh out loud and heartfelt emotion that will make you swoon, Scored is delightfully charming and such an adorable read. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
