Great listen!

I listened to book 2 before this one and loved it so much I came back for book 1.

The MFC has the ability to heal but it’s a secret that she does not share. She is currently a single parent and, although content with her job as an EMT, would like to study to become a doctor or nurse.

The MMC is the former hometown bad boy who is back after he loses someone close to him. While in high school, he used alcohol and drugs and cause an accident, he did, however, become clean and go in to run his own IT company.

These two have a history and they reunite but there is some trouble that cause some issues, but they do get their HEA.
This was a great story and narration was wonderful.

Sweet and Heartfelt

I absolutely loved this romance novel! Laura, a single mom and paramedic, is hiding a secret that only her father knows. When her high school love, Carter, reappears in her life, Laura finds herself rethinking everything—her life with her young son, and the complicated feelings she still has for Carter. This book is a steamy, emotional journey filled with heartbreak, friendship, forgiveness, and, of course, love. The romance between Laura and Carter is both sweet and sizzling, with their shared past adding depth and complexity to their chemistry. I really enjoyed how the author developed each character, making it easy to get completely absorbed in the story. I listened to the audiobook version, and Frances Anderson, the narrator, did a fantastic job. Her voice was soothing yet captivating, truly enhancing the experience. I loved her performance and can’t wait for book 2—I’m eager to see what other secrets will be uncovered!

BUT THIS STORY IS ACCEPTABLE FOR MATURE AUDIENCE AS IT HAS STEAMY AND SENSUAL SENCES.
NARRATOR IS GOOD AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

Beautiful second chance story! ❤️

I really enjoy Kathryn K. Murphy’s books!  Laura and Carter have a history that was not the best, but they have been brought together by an accident that has given them a second chance.  They are great together and this is a steamy, wonderful story, but they have some things to work through before they get there.  You will love all of the characters in this story, especially Laura’s son!  The narrator, Frances, did a great job narrating this book.  She brought the characters to life, and she gave each character a unique voice.  I am looking forward to the next book.
