Casey has stumbled upon a secret: "Big Foot" is real, after all, but its place among the Warden-Watch turns out to be far more mysterious than the myth itself. As one so-called myth after another turns out to be rooted in fact and reality - albeit in wholly unexpected ways - Casey finds himself craning his neck to catch a glimpse...of the Blood King.

A.R. Horvath's tale, which combines sci-fi and historical, biblical fiction, takes the reader/listener on a roller-coaster of suspense-filled time travel with a spiritual twist. Joseph Courtemanche's narration heightens the suspense as he beautifully depicts the characters through voice intonation and depth, so the listener knows who is speaking, no matter if it is the young boy Casey; the old/young woman Myrtle; the holy Blood King, or the devilish interceptor.
