Blood Heir Review

Loved being able to enjoy it and read it. Was disappointed that mistakes in pronunciation (Ascanio) were not corrected, otherwise another superb book by Team Andrews.

Narrator.... do your research

Literally about 15 wonderful books you could have listened to to get the characters....spoiler..................... Simon's accent. But Encanio(?) Has no accent. ... like how did you decide that. I don't like it

disappointed in narration

I've heard that the author intended the names to be pronounced this way, but I think the previous narrator did her a great service in the pronunciation. I've loved this series from the beginning. I have not read the books physically - only the audible versions, and this one was almost painful to get through and focus on the story. I think it's time to stop listening and start reading if this is going to be repeated. I mean really Barabbas being said bar uh bus??

thrilled to read more of Kate Daniel's world

hit a pet peeve pretty hard. new narrator pronouncing character names so differently from previous audible books that didn't know who they were at first. no continuity.

Performer issues

The reader does a good job but if you are a Kate Daniels fan and have listened to the original series, her pronunciations of major characters and groups will drive you nuts. I actually prefer her voice to the reader of the main series but if you are going to read a spin off of a major series at least research how the other person pronounced things.
