Jack and Loki

Red Hot: Coffin Nails MC California is book 5 in the Sex & Mayhem series. I've enjoyed others in this series but this one was a bit much. Red Jack and Loki were just supposed to hook up once but Loki had other ideas. Jack is adamant he's not gay which is why he doesn't have repeat hook ups. Loki was given a few months to live and has pretty much decided he's staying with Jack. Jack and Loki have to hide their relationship as Jack is afraid his sexuality will come out as anything other than straight so they tell everyone that Loki is his cousin. I enjoyed parts of this book but overall Jack was too much for me, way too over the top. I'm glad he and Loki ended up together but even in the end they couldn't be themselves around others.
Narrator Wyatt Baker does an amazing job and kept me from giving up.

Best thing since sliced bread, probably

I really loved this book, and recently found out this audiobook version was released by total surprise ; 0;! It made me incredibly happy and I had a very nice time listening to it.

Great listen.

This is such a dark and steamy listen. I love Red Jack and Loki's story. This is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions and I couldn't start listening to this one. KA Merikan knows how to pull me right in the story. Then to have Wyatt Baker to narrating this one is perfect. He just brings this story to even more life. Such a great listen.

Action and Emotion...

Red Hot: Coffin Nails MC Californi by KA Merikan is the fifth book in the Sex and Mayhem series.  I loved this book. It has emotion, steam, action.....kept me glued to the pages and begging for more.  Wyatt Baker is the narrator for audiobook and does a fantastic job capturing the listener's attention and holding them captive with a great voice performance and clear recording.

Each book is so entertaining and graphic. I love K. A. Merikan and Wyatt Baker. well worth the credit and your time to Listen.

the narrative so very good. The story was good also not just all sex.
I love the fact that I felt like I was there following along with what they were going through. a well written book.

Dark and Twisty Love Story

This couple was literally the most dysfunctional couple of all time. I’ve listened to quite a few of these K.A. Merikan books in this series and read a couple too and though all the couples are a bit messy, these two might take the cake. Jack is a bit of an a-hole and abusive, and Loki is a stalker who tramples over boundaries and has his own abusive streak at times. Still I couldn’t help but love them, sympathize with both of them, and enjoy them together. And their love scenes were scorching, not to mention the emotional intimacy between these two. I did like seeing some of the characters I knew from other books like Sam and Candy, but I found Sam’s insistence for the truth from Jack a bit hypocritical knowing from his book he has a pretty big secret of his own. I thought it might have been a nice scene after Jack confided in him that he shared what no one else but Candy knows, but sadly that didn’t happen. I also thought the doctor who cause so much trouble should have paid monetarily for what he did. Anyways, getting back to the couple at hand, they certainly took a lot of risks with getting revenge but I really enjoyed listening to their love story unfold. Wyatt Baker was perfection as always. This was a fantastic, dark and twisty love story.

Gritty and down right goosebump inducing

This is a biker book with some gritty and slightly terrifying stalking!! It was a compelling listen and I couldn't put it down!! There is a couple stalkings going on and I would put it out there that someone with triggers need to look at the blurb, but it was a crazy and engaging listen.

MM Dark MC Romance

This was the 5th book in the series by KA Merikan. I have listened to a lot of KA Merikan’s novels and although this wasn’t my most favorite, it was still a good raw and gritty dark book. The characters, Loki and Red, are by no means perfect and can both seem overbearing at times, but that’s what makes me feel this is more realistic than the perfect characters we sometimes look for in stories. Red is a pushy man in a MC and Loki struggles with a cancer diagnosis and makes himself a tad clingy to Red in the story. Again, not perfect but very distinct issues for these two. The narrator did a great job with distinct male voices but not as great with female voices. Overall a good listen though!
