Nestor and Nathan Kiklu are the twin sons of Harry Keogh, the Necroscope. United by blood, they also share some of their father's awesome powers - but what they do with those gifts cannot be more different!

Nathan takes up the struggle against the metamorphic vampires, while Nestor, fascinated by the vampires' eerie evil, has become his twin's worst nightmare: A Wamphyri Lord!

Harry Keogh's sons have become the bitterest of enemies, each determined to destroy the other. When next they meet, one will surely die!

While it is not necessary to have read the previous books to follow the storyline, it was an exciting addition. Mr. Lumley has written a very well developed story with horror, sci-fi, adventure, and even some romance. The story follows after the previous book ending and provides more details on characters and their development.
Mr. Saxon has done a superb job at reading the series, and it is a pleasure to have a single reader for the books. The recording is of high quality, and it difficult to find any errors, hissing, or pops in the audiobook.
I would recommend this book to all who enjoy stories about dead people, vampires, and the supernatural.

Truly one of the best by far!

Excellent narration, decent pacing, less focus on minute details and a wider scope of the worlds the story takes place within. Absolute joy to listen to.
So many payoffs from previous entries in the series that while it is a far departure from the first few Necroscope books, it's still in the running for best written entry

Classic Lumley storytelling

Out of the the first 5 books and the 3 vampire world books, Last Aerie is definitely top on that list for me! It is very hard to put these in order, but if I had to The Last Aerie would be #1! And Joshua Saxon knocks it out of the park with his narration! Can't wait for Blood Wars!

Saxon is amazing with Lumley's amazing work!
