I loved this story! Loved the narrators!!! Loved The characters! Loved the setting. Loved the ending, giving me just enough for want more soon!!!! Please write fast. Thank you for always providing a audible book. I love to read and listen. Your narrators are the best!

Loved it!

I absolutely loved this book! I thought it was a great story to start a new series with. I loved the chemistry of the two main characters. It was a great listen.

The Start of a New Series!!

The thing that I love most about J. S. Scott’s writing is the depth and details of her characters and she did not disappoint in the first book of this new series. Let me start with a minor character..who I found completely endearing and caring and that is Damian’s mom Isabella—who married a man of money and DNA royalty and worked hard to fit into the world of the man that she loved. The first conversation of this tale is between this mother and her son, Damian Lancaster, and it defines just how caring and hard-working this British billionaire family really is…even though our Damian is an alpha workaholic whose life revolves around one thing…the family business…where emotions are nowhere to be found. The love for his twin brother, Dylan, helps one understand some of the connections twin siblings deal with and one of the things that Jan does so well…takes you under the skin to see the true feelings and thoughts of her characters. Sooo, when Damian has to rush off to America to deal with his twin’s latest escapade and he is shockingly(I mean what are the chances…right?) sitting next to Nicole Asherworth, a corporate attorney who just took over her deceased mother’s crisis management firm and is returning back to America after feeling like a failure when trying to get an account from none other than HIS Lancaster organization. Needless to say the whole airplane scene is cat and mouse…Damian being the cat of course..sets up the story of these two driven people who really have more in common than they know. They both take over for the parents in business and both are driven to make that their priority. I am not one to summarize a book in my reviews because honestly what’s the point since I want you to listen to it(or read it) yourself…but this is one story that clearly blends the American with the Brit…both in characters and in settings and tells a good story that brings two people who are absolutely not looking for “the one” but in the end they realize that finding “the one” has made them the happiest they have ever been.
I was asked to review this audible book…but honestly, I have read every one of J S Scott’s book…so it was on my “to be read” list anyway. Not only was this the most enjoyable story but like any books in Scott’ series she does a great job at setting you up for the next story she plans on writing.
(just a note…I did end up moving up the speed a couple of notches on the voices…it made a lot of difference for me.)

Loved it, with one little gripe...

Overall, I really enjoyed this story! I’m bummed the rest of the series isn’t out yet. I love the tease for the next story!

One gripe I have is I really hated the airport scene. It totally ruined the feeling and seemed disjointed. The book is totally worth listening to, so don’t let this one issue stop you from a wonderful story.

Great story and relatable!

Nicole is totally relatable- struggles with body image and can't believe this sexy man would want her. And Rupert totally brings sex appeal in the narration. It's hot- and I loved it! I can't wait for Kylie's story. Must find it!
