Wondering if better in print

Fairly monotone Reading and sophomoric dialogue (especially the self-talk) and I found it hard to take someone seriously that ate children’s food of spaghetti pomodoro (with tomatoes) or pizza Margherita EVERY SINGLE MEAL in one of the dining and seafood capitals of the world. I’ve never been a fan of Positano, as too crowded and tacky, but she convinced me to give it more of a try - we spend 2 weeks in Praiano, right up the road, every year (well except this...), and go for the seafood and amazing selection of dishes, but she gradually won me over with our mutual love of the Amalfi Coast and the warm and the wonderful people. And thank God for that boyfriend that finally got her to order off the grown-up menu! Still she convinced me to give other parts of Positano a second chance, along with a few places we hadn’t visited yet, a visit next trip! And she definitely won my admiration for driving the Amalfi Road!

Handy travel guide, painful Italian

I am headed to the Amalfi coast for a trip and I appreciated the author’s detailed accounting of her own trips to many towns along the coast over several years. I liked getting to know the individual she met along the way and some of her favorite places to hike, eat, and sleep. I feel a little bad saying this because the author seems like a really sweet and lovely person who is so open and frank about her ups and downs on the trip, but my main complaint is that the author’s Italian is unbearable. Like there are times when she’s clearly reading off a paper and slowly sounding out each word. So that said, listen to this if you are planning a trip to the area but not if you’re looking to pick up any of the Italian language or pronunciation

Magical Trip to Italia, While Still in the States…

On my bucket list of places I’ve dreamed to visit, is the Amalfi Coast. After listening to the audio version of the Amalfi Coast Love Affair, I felt transported to the enchanting coast, imagining eating the foods, smelling the scent of lemons while hearing in my mind the sounds of the locals. Listening to author Margie Miklas soothing voice of her personal journey made it real.

In 2018, I read this very book with total delight. When the audio became available, I couldn’t resist hearing the words carry me to my dream place once again. Author Margie Miklas expertly webs and weaves the reader through the Amalfi Coast as if you are traveling by her side.

I first learned of the Amalfi Coast in an Italian series on RAI television, with the setting on the island of Capri. I ached to visit this island in Italy’s Bay of Naples. Amalfi Coast Love Affair confirmed I’m ready to see its rugged landscape, upscale hotels and shop from designer fashions and seek a pair of handmade leather sandals firsthand. The audible version transported me on a magical ride to my dream place with what felt like a personal tour guide.

The Amalfi Coast Love Affair reveals Margie’s personal experience as she travels the Amalfi Coast and Positano, indulging the listener throughout the book. I loved hearing the author’s voice sharing snippets of Italian expressions and conversation throughout.

I plan to visit the Amalfi Coast soon. And now, with the experience of traveling with the author’s audible, I’m ready! I feel packed with information on where to go and what to purchase, like ceramics!! I highly recommend the audio version of Amalfi Coast, Love Affair. It will not disappoint

Just like being there!

Having just visited the Amalfi Coast 6 months ago I can say this is an accurate vividly detailed picture of how wonderful the Amalfi Coast actually is. There’s no other place like it. I could close my eyes and picture it perfectly thanks to the detail the author describes.
