Fantastic Start to a New Series

I'm new to Sarah J. Maas books and after listening to this book for almost 28 hours, I'm wondering where the hours went. I loved the story so much, the time literally flew by. Yes, the beginning was packed with facts that you had to keep straight, but I understand it was necessary for world-building the new series. I really don't understand all of the negative comments, because they say that this book isn't like Ms. Maas' other books. Do readers really want authors to write books that all the same? I know I don't, it's good to shake things up and try different things. The narrator, Elizabeth Evans is spectacular, I would buy any book with her name on it as narrator, she's that great! I hope potential readers look past the negative nellies with their whiny complaints and give this book a chance. Please make up your own mind about it and don't let others run you away from giving it a try. I find that liking or disliking a book is very subjective. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out, because I will definitely be buying it.

Wow! This book blew me away! I'm so thankful I finally read it. I got my hands on all forms of this book: the hardback I purchased last year, an audiobook thanks to an Audible credit and the e-book I won in a Goodreads giveaway. I needed all three to get through this mammoth 800-page epic!

It's nice to know that even with a 15 month old, I can still finish a giant book in just a few weeks.

I love and adore every character. Bryce, Danika, Hunt, Ruhn, Lehabah, Fury, Juniper. I need more of these characters RIGHT NOW! Every moment of my life spent going forward without them will be a struggle. I might start re-reading House of Earth and Blood immediately. Thank you Sarah J. Maas for putting these characters on paper and sharing them with us.

Words cannot do it justice.

I wouldn’t even know where to start.....all I can say is just get this audiobook now, clear your schedule for the next few days and let yourself be immersed in this Amazing story.
I have loved Sarah’s incredible writing and her ability to take me away to the most magical places! I knew I would love this book, I didn’t know if I could love it as much as the Throne of Glass series (My absolute Favorite series I think Ever) And of course the Court series. But I absolutely fell into this world and loved every minute of it!
I laughed out loud, I held my breath, I cried, I cheered, and at times I was legit jumping up and down and yanking up my covers!
I’ve listened to both the ToG, and the Court series at least four times! I will continue to listen to them and now can add Crescent City as I anxiously await the next in the series.
THANK YOU Sarah J Maas for creating the most imaginative, beautiful worlds and characters for us to fall into, and to fall in love with!

Not a huge fan of 3rd pov narration and the beginning was a bit rough but definitely got sucked into it and cried several times at the end! Can’t wait to start the next one!
