Great start to a series I love. I REALLY hope all the books end up being recorded. It is a sweet and hot. With action and drama.

Good series

Read this series first now listening to it. Enjoyed reading but now enjoying listening. Strong men and women are the kind of stories I like to read. Nice start.

First of many

My first foray into Kris Michaels, and I can see a lot of credits going into the future Guardians series, because this was an incredibly enjoyable book. I so love when the heroine is a strong as the hero, and this story definitely appeals to my hero and heroine rescue addiction. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved this team of warriors and the comradely they share. I enjoyed more than one, lol, moment, as these guys teased each other. I also really enjoyed Frank, the owner of the ranch that Jacob does rehab.( Frank is also the Heroine’s father. This book has a beautiful love story and a sound reminder that family, has nothing to do with sharing DNA. Although there are some difficult military moments, the overall book is definitely the type of listen that feeds your soul!

Great military romantic suspense

This is the first audiobook in this series and I enjoyed it very much. The heroine is a CIA agent who has been captured by ISIS after being set up by her own people. The hero is the leader of a security team who is trying to destroy a nest of jihadists, when they find this American woman who is being held there. She’s been severely abused and is in critical need of medical help. On the rescue helicopter, the hero stays by the wounded heroine who needs her shoulder popped back into its socket and her broken leg set. Afterward, they agree to meet at a restaurant in Washington, DC a year from then.
A year later, both of them show up and quickly fall for each other. They end up going to her father’s ranch for him to recover from an injury from his last mission. I don’t want to give away more of the story, but expect action, emotion and a surprise. This story has a HEA ending. Narration was well done.

Loved listening to the audio version!!

Fell in love with the Kings of Guardian from the first chapter I read!! Fell in love all over again before the end of the first chapter listening to the audio version!! From a savvy writer and a great narrator you can’t lose, there’s not enough positive adjectives to describe Kris Michaels writing and I think the same will be said of Matt Haynes narration.

Powerful and entertaining start of the series

I just loved how the narrator was able to give you a real feel for so many of the characters. You just know Jacob by hearing him and Tori as well. The story has much action and with so many great characters this narrator is excellent at expressing the little nuances that bring them to your imagination. His interpretation of Frank, Amanda and Joseph are just so what you think they would be.
I look forward to more of this series.

Narration

I thought that Mr. Haynes did an outstanding job of narration. There are so few narrators who can successfully change from female to male characters and straight narration as smoothly as Mr. Haynes. I only wish that the audible version by this reader was available for the rest of the Kings of Guardian series.
